Convertible Motor and Pump Rebuild
In this video I demonstrate how I refurbished my convertible top pump and the steps I took to inspect and freshen up the other half the electric motor. The pump rebuild was easy. The electric motor inspection and cleaning was decent but just requires a little of time and patience. I still feel this can be completed by most do it yourselfers.

Thank you so much posting a detail video Dan. This was very helpful, in paticular the segment on the motor disassembly. I have a 66 Impala, and as you mentioned, many pumps are the same and mind is identical to yours. My Fisher manual covered the pump disassembly, but not the motor.
I need a rebuild kit for my 2006 Chrysler Sebring Touring Convertible.
Hi good job on the rebuild. I'm wondering where do you get your parts from for the rebuild? I need seals and brushes. Thanks
Great job. I tried this I think I broke it, I wish I had your patience ,my top goes up but not down , do you think it's the pump or switch ? In your opinion, I'm confused because they both half work smh , do you happen to know what the wires are exactly on it ? And what for , and do it run directly to the switch or switch , fuse box or even maybe under the hood , I guess I'm bad at electrical
I'm looking for a rebuild kit for the convertible top pump on a 1969 cadillac deville. Where did you get your kit from? Tried ebay but nothing. Thanks.
Great how to Dan. The rubber mounting feet and the reservoir plug all have holes in them. a suitable rod a little smaller in diameter
Where did you get the rebuild kit?
Help me. And I didn’t have the same pump. Thank you very much
