Also I forgot to mention that I used a sharpie from inside the body on the bottom to draw a line around the edge of chassis. This will give you a perfect side length. Take your time trimming and it will look awesome 🤩

Great video. Quick question: what is your honest opinion on the srx8e RTR being used for casual club racing like 2 times a month. I'm a very novice driver and want to race in the e buggy class. I know it's actually a hybrid between the srx8e and 811 buggy. The middle part and chassis is srx8e and the suspension arms and shocks are 811 buggy. I don't know all about setups and every aspect of suspension changes. That why the srx8e RTR appealed to me because it seems a more basic car in terms of tunability. Thanks

It’s a good starter race buggy yes. My friends have had good luck with it. You will want to upgrade the servo , servo horn and the battery connectors though. Also go through the shocks and put 550 f , 500 rear is a good starting spot. The car actually is a pretty good Contemder for the money.

I would think so. If you join the serpent SRX8 buggy and truggy group on Fb , ask there and people will chime in. I think there is a few guys that used that same body.

We run the kyosho MPT10 truggy springs in red front red rear. Simple because they are longer and you don’t have to run the collars as far down on the shock to get the proper ride height. Also I really like 5 hole 1.5 piston front and 5 hole 1.5 rear. I start around 550 front , 500 rear on oil.

Thank you for the response I don’t have Facebook. But when I bought the truggy it was used it came with the long Kyosho purple springs and I changed them and I think that’s the issue I need to run those springs and I’ll try your piston set up and oil and if this issue happens with my serpent buggy do the same spring set up up to a longer spring?

@@calebg59 no on the serpent buggies we run serpent springs. The purple kyosho spring is the softest of the kyosho , get the red red , make sure you get the MPT10 though. There is a chart that shows the part number of I can find it I’ll post them here for you. We run the same piston setup on all cars too VRP , XV3 mugen pistons. 5 hole 1.5 f , 5 hole 1.6 rear
