Got the giveaway free as per your Video, Fired up WinX, It only allows 5 minutes of Ripping., Spent much time on it, till I read other comments, they said the same. I have Winx on my desktop for years, so I copied all to my Laptop, then it installed it to my laptop, real smooth, and copied and pasted the code, works like a charm on my Laptop.

I entered my email address and I received a link. The link doesn't work and nor does the licence code I received in the email. Also the email was flagged as dangerous. I am a bit worried now..

I was looking around to figure out how to copy my DVDs to my Hard Drive when I came across your KZread Video.. Yr video is by far the best one with very simple instructions to follow and copying the DVDs was a breeze.Thanks a million for the tip and tutorial.👍

Unfortunately all of my DVDs seem to come up with a long list of titles. While the software is 'free'' it seems I actually need to pay for it in order to use it.

After watching a few videos now on this topic, this is the exact video i was looking for, nice explanation / guide / straight to the point keep it up. 🙌

Finally! Obviously didn’t remember the steps in order as per KZread directions. So in frustration I uninstalled and in so doing was able to gain giveaway and key. Thank you

Thank you. it worked perfectly. Note: The steps he shows are not the correct way anymore. This is what you do: Click the link > Click DVD Ripper at the top > Click Learn More > Click DVD to MP4 (No the Download Free button) > Click Get Licensed Copy. You'll get a Zip with the 8.21.0 installer (which was the promotional one) and a TXT with the key, the software will ask you for your "license email" just enter any email and the license from the TXT file.

There is no limited/free/givaway version for Mac OS currently and the trial version only allows 5 minutes of transcribing for evaluation.

Does this work with DVDs and Blu-rays from any region? I guess that for Blu-rays you'll need a Blu-rays reader but is it the same procedure for discs of all regions?

Useful info thanks A few questions. With this method are the subtitles available to be displayed (or not) as when watching a regular DVD? (So not burned into video where they cannot be switched off). Does the MP4 file contain the chapters which films etc usually have? - so named bookmarks? Is there any neat way to replicate the DVD menu structures - or is that something lost with transfer to MP4. Regards.

All great questions…… No it’s unfortunately not like that. I wish it was. The subtitles are either burned on the screen or not at all, no chapters and you lose the menus too. Just think of it as watching the movie at the theatre.

You can do that with mkv format not mp4, with mkv you can add subtitles that be can turn on and off And it have chapter too just like dvd

Stu, I hope you can answer my question about ripping DVD's of music concerts that are from a different region. I have several that are not US (region 1) recordings, and they are commercial and probably copyright protected. I want to rip them, convert the format to something that will play in my US BluRay player, and burn them to discs for storage. I prefer not to store them on my hard drive due to storage space. Can WinX do that? I have a CD/DVD burner built into my computer. Thanks for the excellent video. Looking forward to your answer.

Once they are ripped the copyright encryption is removed so I’m sure you achieve what you are asking. WinX is only a ripping software thou so you will have to use your dvd/blue-ray software of choice to burn your discs.

I just bought this and made the mistake of getting it for pc. I need the Mac version. I emailed support and they said it will take up to 5 days. I was hoping to get it refunded and buy the Mac version so I can start using it now. Any help? Thanks!

mine has not worked it did not come with a download page for the key it sent it to me via email I put in the details but it says invalid I must of done something wrong ?

downloaded and installed the giveaway setup, got the e-mail, copied and pasted the e-mail addy that I was given, copied and pasted the license key I was given. error incorect e-mail or license code.

Thanks! I hope this works for me. I've purchased and have been using Wonderfox DVD Ripper. It ripped all but one of my DVDs, but not the very one I really wanted to be ripped (Unhinged with Russel Crow, very good movie). Another problem is, for some reason, the ripped movies will play back on my pc but when I burn them to a DVD disk for back up, they will not play back in my DVD drive or media players. I just ordered an external DVD burner drive because I don't know if it's an issue with my Wonderfox software or my pc optical drive, but I will try Winx as well.

Well from what I found trying to burn to DVD you have to pay for software inorder to get it to burn properly. Free stuff doesn't work from what I tried. And also the DVD player your using might not read it as mine all worked on my blue ray player but only one of the discs worked on my mom's DVD so I'm not sure if I used a wrong download for when I rendered it in kdenlive or something else happened when I burned it on the wrong file settings. Not sure. But I'd look into all three of those situations and if it solves your problem then awesome.

Will this program rip my Itunes movies I bought from .m4v to mp4 so i can put it on my home NAS server? I bought them so nothing shady I'm trying to do. Just want my wife and daughter to be able to access\watch everything. Seems like I read the Itunes movie downloads are hit or miss with software?

Doesn’t work on my Mac , I’ve followed instructions but no joy and the pages shown on KZread don’t match what I have on my Mac.

today it's not working. Maybe offer ended. I got an activation code but not a downloaded zip file, and the activation code doesn't work.

Actually, after I clicked on "Run", there has appeared a message that said I cannot run more than 5 mins of my DVD without buying a full version.

Thank so much for this! The demonstration as well as the free software link! (EDIT) But......I soon realized that I keep getting the '5 minute limit' for the videos over that length. [:-(] So I re-watched your video, got to the "get a license" but it is not highlighted--clickable on my page that shows up. So......that's where I get stuck... [:-/] I'm sure that is out of your control, but I appreciate your other videos for other software.

Just did this today (October 2023) and while you're able to download the software and get a free license through your email, they now limit the free license to just a 5 minute download. You'll have to buy the full version to convert any full DVD's.

The 5 minute free download works but when I try to purchase either of the $34.95 for Premium License or $59.95 for Ultimate License, it won't take any of my payments. It states "Error processing the credit card transaction. Please enter another card or try to finalize the transaction in a few minutes." I have done this several times and it continues to not take my card payments. But I WILL NOT do the "bank transfer, American Express or the JCB" as I don't trust those. Is there another way?

If I were you, I'd cancel the cards you attempted to use... Who knows where these numbers have been sold to by now. Check you account for any unrecognized transactions, even if it's small amounts (they try a few dollars first to make sure it works...)

😕 Have they changed something? I followed your instructions to get the license key. It seems a bit different from what you described. At the top of t he page it doesn't say, "get Winx DVD Ripper Giveaway Version", It just says "Get Winx DVD Ripper Giveaway." And where I enter my my e-mail address it does not say, "Get giveaway version"; it says, "Get Free License". And under that it says, "Please check your email for giveaway info and activation tips" I clicked that, and I did not get an e-mail with the supposed giveaway info and activation tips. I waited quite a while and tried a different e-mail and still nothing (nothing unusual about my e-mails, both g-mail addresses). Have they changed something, or am I doing something wrong? Thanks.

Looks like they disabled the Get Free License button. It doesn't do anything.

Have downloaded and registered as per the instructions here but have to say so far WinX DVD Ripper has bee a complete disappointment. Have tried ripping 3 movies now and after trying to do each one 2 or even 3 times, am still not able to complete a rip without it crashing. have tried a few different setting changes and seems the best attempt was in AVI format but even that one crashed 2 mins before the end of the movie??? Ah well Ill just have to keep looking for one that works. Thanks anyway..

No longer working. Now I'm trying to find a new solution.

Thanks to you StuTech I am well on my way through ripping my dvd library. Have done just under 50 but have one that is not playing the game. It ripped the dvd all except the last 4 minutes (of the movie). So I tried it again and I got all except the last 6 minutes or so. I believe it is a valid dvd albeit an old one. Any ideas please?

It sounds like you know what you’re doing and will know DVD’s can be fragile at times. That’s a shame. I can’t offer any advise other than maybe try Reddit or other online forums. I’m sure there will be some Facebook page as well that offers advise. Can I assume that the dvd cannot be replaced as it’s unavailable or a home movie?

Its a bait and switch. You get it downloaded then the key you get doesn't work and all routes lead you to having to buy the software

@@StuTech I didn’t. I just switched to my windows laptop and all is well. I did have an issue with voices being out of sync when exporting to mp4 but, switching it to an avi export fixed it. Glad I found this video! Over 700 dvd’s to rip now. I’m gonna need patience and caffeine lol.

I did activate my givaway version of winx-dvd-ripper succesfully. When clicking on the 3rd inon on the right it does say "Givaway License", "Licensed to [my email]" I did encounter some problems: Problem 1: When directing the destination folder to my nas winx-dvd-ripper only is ripping a little bit of the dvd. The 1st time i got 2 min. 40 sec. The 2nd time i only got about 40 sec. The 3rd time i got 4 min. 11 sec. Every time ramdom time. On a local harddisk the complete movie is being ripped. Does someone else have the same problem? Problem 2: I can not remove black bars on a movie without distorting the movie. I did "Enable Crop" with 'Crop Original' set to "Free" and set the corners to only the movie (without black bars) "Auto expand to profile video resolution......" is off and select "Apply to all". Then i set the MP4 profile to the same resolution as the cropped settings with 'Aspect ratio' set to "keep origin'". In the target video everything is stretged verticaly on a 16:9 monitor. On my 21:9 (ultra wide) monitor, when i play the video full frame then the aspect retion is ok. Question: How do i crop a movie that has black bars on top/bottom to a movie without black bars and NO distortion? I hope someone can help me. Thank you
