Conversations with Robert Pattinson of GOOD TIME

Ойын-сауық

Q&A with Robert Pattinson of GOOD TIME. Moderated by Jenelle Riley, Variety.
Following the mind-bending Heaven Knows What, celebrated filmmakers Josh and Benny Safdie return to the mean streets of New York City with Good Time, a hypnotic crime thriller that explores with bracing immediacy the tragic sway of family and fate.
After a botched bank robbery lands his younger brother in prison, Constantine "Connie" Nikas (Robert Pattinson) embarks on a twisted odyssey through the city's underworld in an increasingly desperate-and dangerous-attempt to get his brother Nick (Benny Safdie) out of jail. Over the course of one adrenalized night, Connie finds himself on a mad descent into violence and mayhem as he races against the clock to save his brother and himself, knowing their lives hang in the balance.
Anchored by a career-defining performance from Robert Pattinson, Good Time is a psychotic symphony of propulsive intensity crafted by two of the most exciting young directors working today. Josh and Benny Safdie’s transcendent vision is an intoxicating portrait of desperation and destruction that will not be soon forgotten.
Directed by: Josh and Benny Safdie
Starring: Robert Pattinson, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Barkhad Abdi, and Benny Safdie

I really respect and admire Robert Pattinson. He is reinventing himself as an actor and he is doing a terrific job. Also, his interviews are always fun and interesting. We all know interviews are rehearsed in late night TV for example, and actors make jokes that aren't funny or tell anecdotes that seem fake. Robert Pattinson looks legit in his interviews, and that is amazing and fresh. If I am not mistaken, the only A-Listers with no publicist in Hollywood are Angelina Jolie and Robert Pattinson, unless that was made up of course. Terrific interview.

He seems so comfortable in this, in most interviews he’s quiet, he’s awkwardly laughing and waffles a lot because of his anxiety. And overall seems anxious. But In this he is chatting and not stuttering and he looks like he’s having a brilliant time! And I think this Interviewer made it seem so warm and comfortable. Which is why this is one of my favorite interviews!

    (1) Interviewer didn't ask any intrusive personal questions. (2) There aren't 100's of girls screaming his name (3) Interviewer asked intelligent questions

Pattinson is fast becoming one of the top most interesting actors I have ever heard interviewed. I love seeing his talent continue to grow by leaps and bounds. Jenelle is doing a great job of interviewing him. She has him speaking at length on different subjects. Great!

OMG...He is so outrageously gorgeous in the film..and now!!! Very severe film with very differing interpretations. Great characters so multi dimensional. Great writing acting directing camera score...etc Ps...I liked Connie but worried the whole time about Nick...I've worked 35 yrs with the Nick's of the world and have my own Beautiful version of Nick in my 17 yr old daughter. Ty Robert for your absolute best performance to date 11/2020.
