I still believe Ranil can do something to bring up SL. Whoever leading the country should take help from Ranil.

He has long term vision and never try to protect his power for 5 years plan. For getting better service to country should give him atleast 10 years.For that he should be the president for test it. Good conversation with real leader.

What a wonderful interview with a very Knowledgeable gentleman!

One of the very few policy oriented politicians in SL, if not the only one. A man with tactics and a broad vision. Due to the unfortunate situation in the country with war drums playing, we always had to give the chance to the 'warrior' class aka Mahinda Rajapaksha, including me, but in 2015, I gave this guy a chance and despite the 'mud sligning' he really gave something to the country, so I am happy for him. If we are to pursue a strong tactical economic policy at least for 10 years, we need someone like Ranil or one with his capacity. The nationlist warrior drums don't play any longer . and the red Socialist bells don't ring too.. they are just loud noise, not producing any sustainable results.

He is a very intelligent and competent leader whose policies are based on developing the Country according to modern international trends. His ultimate aim is to make Sri Lanka a developed Country where the people would have money to live comfortably. Unfortunately political rivals don't allow him to do that because their political ambitions will get hurt. His value will be appreciated only when he is dead.

he was one of the most visionary leaders in SL if not the only one, in our recent history of politics.. He was capable of creating fruitful reforms and policies while MR was capable of organizing people around him and doing populist politics (which also destroyed SL of course) . I voted Ranil for economy and MR for war, and I believe it was the right decision. Now that both of the mature leaders gone we are left with 2 childish muppets Sajith and Namal (potential leader) and what are we gonna do with them.

Nothing wrong with Hon.RW and his politics , the problem is that majority of people of the country can not understand what the politics is and what does politics mean to them. In terms of the interview. I see that you are very confident and professional in front of him and also I see that you both respect each other's views and opinions that we hardly see from present days interviewers and interviewees. Ranil's vision was always far ahead towards future .people always misunderstood him.

Mr.wickramasinghe shud be in a Parliament...

He is one of thebest politicians this country has ever seen. He has a depth of knowledge about all trades. But because of his true nature majority of our people figured him wrongly. He has never robbed people's money. Like true love sometimes stays deep until the right moment arises. Late President JR's wise decisions and plans we passed so many decades with a steady economy. But the successors ruined it by misusing powers. Today the country is having a huge debt against its economic growth. Economic growth is like planting a tree. You must wait patiently until it bares fruit. Our people want instant result. Which is wrong in the economic theory. Empty vessels make noise is the correct example for current politics.
