Hi Benjamin Koller , fellow drummer here researching GoPro options to make my own drum cam videos. Yours are awesome by the way, the best REAL live drum cam videos I've seen on the tube. I was wondering which model of GoPro you use? and what settings? I can see these videos are harsh on any camera with all the movement and the low light and wanted to know how high I have to go for decent quality. Thanks!

This the hero 3+ with the default settings which is wide angle and 30fps I believe. The camera is in a waterproof casing which cuts down on the high end a little bit I think. But In this case it depends on what your monitor mix is like. Since mine is pretty drum heavy I think the sound came out pretty decent considering it's just the internal gopro microphone that you hear.

Benjamin Koller Yeah the sound isn't bad, i thought you had it outside of the case. I just ordered a H4S which should work fine. Thanks for your reply! One last question if you don't mind. Have you tried using a headstrap? If so, was it too unstable, or was the footage to shaky?
