    Not just Adam. Some of the drivers that are not as consistent (Adam, Rad Dan, Kyle Mohan, Matsuyama ect.) get tougher judging when they go up against a top 4 sort of guy in 32. Obviously FD doesnt want someone randomly going beast mode and disrupting the championship points leaders in 32, so anyone facing Odi\Chelsea\Osbo\Field has to be so perfect there's no way the judges could vote against them.

    Even with both incompletes in the chase, the contact caused you to not be able to finish your lead run even if it was only 20 feet from the finish line. The judges explanation "if Adam would have been able to finish his lead run it still wouldn't have been as good as Odi" was bullshit in my opinion.

  • @ClimptonDiddlehopper

    Sort of...that was basicly the shut down so they used the previous part of the run. That's not the issue. 2 other competitors hit the same way Adam did but didnt get a 3 tire off call. It has nothing to do with Adams lead being incomplete, it was more so Adam didn’t get out to the first touch and go, so Odi’s lead was better. I don’t think Adam’s chase should’ve been an incomplete therefore he should’ve won, but that’s the world of judged sports. 🤷🏻

    28:19 wait wait wait, so magicly there was a rule change since the first round and not a single driver knew about it? We are on round 7.. they have driver meetings for what? • @davecolwell725

    @davecolwell725

    2 жыл бұрын

    @@Matty.Hill_87 I don’t think it’s that at all the judges want to put the best show possible forward and they know the best drivers up top will do that, whenever one of the lower drivers gets to the top 8 they make a major mistake but the big issue is this is because the judges never let the lower competitors get higher so they don’t have enough practice with the top end competition and get psyched out because of lack of experience at top level competition it’s a vicious circle. Having bullshit sponsor politics happen to me in Australia I know exactly how it feels. You need to be a really kick arse driver and show some consistent performance for the judges to start to let you have some ‘favouritism’ like Dylan Hughes is doing atm. Or you’re right and they think more about putting the more big sponsor cars forward rather than the true winnner and because they do that those drivers are the good ones because they get all the top level experience. Either way I do feel a lot of bias in the judging decisions, I think the judges have a lot of pressure and a lot of hard calls to make but the reason they make the calls they do is have good intention behind them they think a lot about why the cars got into the position they are, alas they seem to make these calls fit what they want to be the case to put the top drivers through more often than seems right. Judging and it’s foibles and the comp politics is what got me to leave the competitive scene in Australia in the end, at least it ruined the love for me and there is no money in just drifting for fun. Lack of money, debt and many other factors have kept me away from driving ever since. I still really miss it sometimes though.

    Made it in the video! :) The parade was hilarious, my mom was out infront trying to get good video for my nephew and was so confused by all the people on bikes. I just laughed and said they're with the lead drift car. For your first time on the track I think you did awesome! It was very unfortunate that the judges were not paying as much attention to all the details as they should be.. A lot of rough calls imo. But I'm glad Vaughn came over to confirm with you about their knowledge of the ruling, it's ridiculous the "new" rules aren't mentioned every event just so they're known to all the drivers/spotters. Also Mike, great footage as always! It was very nice to meet you, thanks for the picture! Hope you get some chill time at some point hah!
