Hello everyone! I'm well aware the camera is shaky and the overall quality isn't the best. The video was recorded on a cellphone almost 6 years ago. Not a thing I can do to change it.

Finally a controlled burn where they don't spray water on it every two seconds.

Controlled burn offs like this are often the best option of demolition for badly rotted wooden homes but they can be stripped down before they burn off to remove any hazardous materials like asbestos and anything of value that could be recycled like the plumbing, wiring and possibly the window glass. The ash can possibly also be buried at the site or taken away to be dumped in a landfill.

I appreciate watching this and that you took us around to see the whole building. I would also like to see the insides of the buildings also. And it would be nice to see the building before setting fire to it. Nobody that I've watched does this and I think it would help your channel. And keep filming until the building comes down!

So much to learn from watch these burns. Smoke reading, fire behavior, timelines under heavy fire load.

These controlled burns not only get rid of an irreparable derelict, they give fireman an idea of just how fast fire travels through and consumes the structure so that they can determine how to best knock one down in a real working situation...

Very good video documentation. That house burned beautifully. The infant fire in the front window took off nicely once the fire from the end wall broke through the wall while the fire in the attic broke through the chimney flashing. Then the fire penetrated the roof shingles at the seam of the roof sheathing near the ridge of the roof and once the fire had fresh air, the house was gone.

Why burn down what could be a rebuilt vintage home? Even if it's not fit for a rebuild why burn it down? Some youngsters have no sense of value and no regard of historic landmarks. That home had many years of families living there! And nobody builds houses like this today! Really stupid!

  • @Deziel0495

Landowner wanted it gone so they could build new. For the FD to use it for training and a controlled burn, it costs a fraction of what a full demolition would cost.

We had about 6 people on scene. Not much to do really but watch it burn to the ground. There were no exposures to protect. We had lines laid just in case any sparks/embers wandered.

Just a little of gasoline mixed with diesel and made a trail through the house. Popped some windows beforehand to allow airflow. Stretched out some lines to have ready just incase. Sat back and enjoyed. :)
