The Delta Green videos may be a bit more frequent now as I am running my home group through Control Group, so I imagine either Night Visions or Ex Oblivione will be the next Delta Green video.

I hadn't actually realised that it had been exactly a month since my last video since I did one for my Patrons (Masks of Nyarlathotep part 7).

How did it go? Im in the same position and don't know what to run yet. Ive joined the Reddit and received tons of help so I've got a better idea but I'm still looking for the right first experience for myself and group. Im leaning on Black Sat

@@djwilliams7935 went perfect. i think i over prepared but my friends said i did great for the first time DM'ing anything. i would preface to your friends that its a little railroady. its a good thing it is for first timers because you get to make up less on the spot.

@@LawlietBBday what did you do to make your players feel like astronauts? Im going to make a post to get some feedback for this on the Delta Green subreddit.

@@djwilliams7935 well, I honestly just followed the manual word for word- i played some space music in the background but other than that i didnt come up with much on my own. for a first timer they said i did pretty good but should allow them to try something and fail instead of me saying it wont work if they tried.

BlackSat was an interesting one as I listened to a playtest and it suffered from the old Cthulhu problem of why would the characters continue on with the mission as presented. **Spoilers**: The two Techs were so bad that I could not really see the astronauts agreeing to a mission where someone is almost guaranteed to die and the adventure uses the lack of time to force the issue.

You've only seen half the story there mate. They complete the mission, even upon knowing someone will die, because Mission Control can switch off the shuttle remotely leaving them stranded. It's a case of "do as I say or die in space".

@@BudsRPGreview That's, okay but again it feels like the author has had a cool idea and then written themselves into a corner and without finding a good way out of it just went "Ahh screw it Mission control will kill them using a MacGuffin" I know that Astronoughts are pretty damn brave and patriotic but the time demands which lead to rushed training, the secrecy and the obvious bad health of the specialists are just so bad I can not see N.A.S.A even one influenced by D.G actually doing this or in fact any intelligent person agreeing to do the mission. The problem is a catch 22 they needed the players to suspect the two new guys so made them odd enough so that the players would break the rules and investigate them but this very oddness is ramped up so much that it becomes a stupid thing to take them up in the shuttle with all the dangers of blindness and heart attacks.

@@markgrehan3726 What about reducing the time of previous preparation for the mission? I honestly feel this problem too, but maybe talking about months instead than years it would be less "what the hell is with this guys showing up totally unprepared two days before the launch when we are going through this for almost two years"?

Another awesome review from Bud! When you give your concluding remark, could you mention if possible how long it should take to run the scenario? It is quite important for us as we don't always have the luxury to do more than 2 sessions of 4 hours.

    It takes around 2-3 sessions.

This is a better bookstory than a roleplay scenario. It uses extreme railroading with little to no options for the players to influence the story. The NPCs will take a lot of the spotlight thats supposed to be on the players. The setup of the story makes no sense, everyone whos playing a serious astronaut would say "no, thats idiotic". It might be some material for a short story or a book, but I was so bored to play this in a roleplaygame (i was the pilot). For anyone who wants to play this scenario as a gamemaster: do your players a favour and let 3 people play the astronauts and 2 people play the scientists. Then you have people playing experts and people playing non-astronauts in space which will lead to some fun roleplaying and interesting conflicts/tension between the 2 playergroups.
