Ex Oblivione for Delta Green: the roleplaying game by Arc Dream Publishing
Ойындар
Memories of the sea. Trapped in tanks. A family brutally murdered, seemingly by children. This is peak Delta Green. I gave it a 9.5/10. Check out the video to see why.

Great comment. As always this was an excellent review but this module is far too R-Rated. Gore kills the suspense, at least for me.
I am definitely running this operation for my agents! - Innkeeper Vase Odin

Glass Cannon Network does a playthrough of this with some modifications. It's absolutely brutal. Season 3 Get in the trunk.
quick nit-pick before resuming watching: 'ex' is not a prefix, but a preposition. It means 'out of' or 'from', which connects to the ablative oblivione (nominative oblivio - state of forgetting or forgetfulness). I'd translate it as 'from being forgotten' or, less imaginatively, 'out of oblivion'. Maybe 'from amnesty' if you're feeling fancy? Technically, 'ex' could be seen as a prefix when connected to a verb, like ex + it (it = 3rd person singular of eo - 'I go') gives us exit = he/she departs. Love your channel, by the way. Kinda regret this being my first comment.

@@BudsRPGreview I'm not sure how to read this, but I can offer help with future Latin/Greek, however unlikely those would be.
There were a series of novels about one of the survivors of the raid on Innsmouth. The one I read took place in the 50's during the Red scare. The protagonist was held in a camp, but out in the desert after raid when she was child. She mentions being there when the Japanese Americans were detained there during WW2. The book I read took her back to Innsmouth....

This is also probably first module since 'The Stars are Right' that had some adult themes in the scenario.
The plot of this one, and the map of the city reminds me very much of Stephen King's Desperation, with Marsh taking the place of Tak. Seems like a cool scenario.

I'm not sure my actual videos would translate well as I point to things on the page etc.
In general I tend to much prefer Detwiller's fiction writing to his game design. To me, "Ex Oblivione" comes across as a stereotype of his scenario design : it's basically a deathtrap that the agents have little to no chance of avoiding/surviving. The Delta Green writers frequently stress the idea that guns are not a solution to the Mythos yet in this scenario the PCs only option of survival is to simply shoot their way out.

I disagree. I thought it was excellent.

I really agree with you, after running it but also listening to the Glass Cannon Network - Get in the Trunk version of it. The end is really a game design failure, where you just have your PC rolling dices shooting their way out and the outcome purely depends on the gun fight dices between the puppets and the PC.. disappointing.
