Not gonna lie, I felt legit bad for Gerulf when he got unceremoniously game over'd by an axe to the face. The man refused to leave his superior behind when he and the others could have made a run for it. Servants of Barnabas or not, he and the rest of Benedikta's followers deserve respect for their loyalty.

Man I loved Ifrit shooting fire with the clap of his hands to counter Garuda's winds. Kinda Disappointed they didn't let him keep it when we control him the other times.

Well, Garuda was the only Eikon using Wind, so it makes sense Ifrit used that move on her.

I LOVE the reference to Garuda's FF14 theme. Soken doesn't miss a beat 💚

This theme is so underrated. Those horns at 0:55 give me life.

Garuda’s design reminds me of harpy eagles, which seems fitting for multiple reasons.

This bossfight is beautiful but it’s definitely one of those “the bosses when your parents walk in” boss fights

Man, FFXVI did Benedikta so dirty. Probably my single gripe with the game, other than the fact that there wasn't much of a party system.

She should join the party. Her acting was soooo good i couldnt believe. It Would be very nice to see her character development bcs she was linked with sid and Hugo. It could be So much more for her.

I love the idea of making eikon's theme music somewhat consistent in the soken universe

I really wish this bad bitch would have been around for longer, sadly she was the first major boss...

Her entire character revolves around the fact that she acts as a spy for Waloed and acts attractive because she is terrified of losing people and ending up alone again. She hates Cid despite him saving her because he left Waloed (since he found about Barnabas being in bed with Ultima) and felt it as a personal betrayal. It makes perfect sense for her to act as she does. And in the fight, you don't "hit her butt", Ifrit was just an animal out of control.

@@kaltadesmon Garuda is one of earliest students of Buddha. His godness is among the highest of all buddhist gods. And widely worship in Asia. He is also symbol of protection in many Asian country. ​@Teochewtuahang More like an inspiration. Every single Eikon is based on a mythological figure. Leviathan, for example, is from Christianity, while Ifrit is meant to be an Arabic demon, iIrc. It's not an insult, it's just inspiration.

Despite being called Garuda, the incarnations seen in Final Fantasy games are more akin to mythological Harpies than anything else. Female, control of winds, bird like appearance, ill tempered.
