This is one of my fave Chinese drama. The heroine is definitely someone whom we can learn something. She is calm, patient, humble and understanding, respectful and also obedient but she never allows herself to be bullied. In order not to be bullied, she learned some defense. Nowadays, only few good men are left. If you learned a few self defense martial arts, if you ever get assaulted by just a single rough guy, the chance of getting even is big unless he is also a martial artist. If there are 2 ordinary drunk guys, chances of escaping is more than 50% rather zero if you haven't learned anything. I also respect the idea that she didn't want to get intimate with his husband bc there is no love between them. Respect yourself. That's important.
