@@Popularkids86 I disagree about modern gaming being "better." Everything is just improvements on retro ideas, as the most popular games have been remakes and sequels to retro franchises. Modern music has a higher fidelity than retro music, but they were composed in the retro time period.

Here in Europe the old game was called Probotector, something about the Iran-Contra affair in the 80´s. It could not be called Contra here.

Never heard of this game until today and it's so well done. It's a tastful update to the 2d style of a run and gun style of games I used to play in a 3d animation where it maintains that plane of view the entire time but you can see more depth in each level. I'd play this!

You buy it in the perk shop and the game gives you an option to select it in arcade mode.

I remember the days i finished this without knowing there was cheat codes to this game. Had to remember danger zones, cheap camp spots, the timings and each restarts i had to go through.😭

Dude is running around shooting everything and everybody, an absolute menace! It's funny to me how the final boss here, like the final boss on Ghouls and Ghost, will actually allow or bring the hero that close to its face. Talk about counterintuitive.

stage 3 definetely needs the free hostages element added. great game. for spoilers saie i had to stop watching at stage 3. also the top view element intriduced in contra 3, thats missing here would have made this even better. really live stage 4
