Excellent
Some 3m buffing compound and a cheap slow speed buffer will bring that gel coat to new like..it will shine and not get stained or dirty as easily..

Yup. Polishing new gel coat when I do the topside hull and everywhere else.

Agreed. I’ve had much success with Meguiars oxidation remover for marine gel coat.

@@EpoxyAndButylTape meguirs makes quality products so does the 3m perfect it.. both for gelcoat and regular paint.. I've also used some of the stuff that The Chemical Guys make..

urethane paints arent cheap but they really deliver. ive painted a 29 ft hull with alexseal by rolling it and even before polishing (that i had to do because i had a few runs) it looked like a spray job. it does require more maintenance than gelcoat to extend its life to 20 years, BUT, when the time comes to repaint, all you need to do is degrease, fairing where needed, and paint. plus you have more colours to chose from.
