Contessa 26 Refit ep.29 - Project Updates and Closing Holes
Documenting the refit of a 1975 Contessa 26 - J.J. Taylor build. Not an instructional video; recording for my own reference.
In this episode I go over some long-term updates, complete some smaller projects and close a hole in the hull left by the paddle wheel speed sensor.

Thanks for the update, I was looking forward to it. Cheers.
Nice work. Ty for sharing.
I often wonder if I should build a cover over my Westsail, but I am closer to the end of the refit than the beginning. Glad to see your update and progress.

Thanks. My boat shed build isn’t just for the ongoing refit, but storage between trips too. She’s small enough to tow myself and working on my boat(s) is my hobby, so it made sense for me to invest the time in building it.
I towed an inflatable from Norfolk to West Palm Beach behind my sailboat. I found using line that floats (note: not line with floats) to be so important docking, coming to a pump-out/fuel-dock, anchoring, and waiting for a bridge which happens more than you would expect.

Agree. Floating line works much better for towing down the ICW, but this set up is meant for towing offshore however unlikely I am to do that. Thanks for your comment.
