as a person who started contemporary dance almost one month ago, it’s not that easy. at first, you will get frustrated. But at the end of the day, there’s no right or wrongs in contemporary dancing, because it’s all emotions and connection with your feelings

Ik you commented this a year ago but when you started it were you older? Ik most start when their younger so it’s easier for them to get it but honestly my mom would have never let me😭
honestly I feel that contemporary dance opens a whole new world of exploring yourself and your emotions . also contemporary dance totally differs from other style of dances and it really allows me to express what I feel through this procedure and as well as improve my creativity I lovee this style of dance
"Are you wiggly?" First fucking line, and I learned I can't do contemporary.
I like how Steezy have been recently giving us mini guides on how to get started with some dance styles
So contemporary dance stemmed from people who rebelled by saying " *Nah that ain't it g* "?? 😂

Finally, I can learn contemporary. 🙇
Yay! I was looking forward to some contemporary classes!
she instructed a class i took at a convention and she is easily my favorite choreographer ever :)
I would say I’m an intermediate dancer, with the experience of a few hip hop classes. And at school I joined the dance troupe :D which happens to do mostly … contemporary. And being the 5’9, body conscious person with the literal flexibility of a thick stick, I was way out of my comfort zone. And it was a pity because the choreo is so cool. And hearing that there is no right and wrong to contemporary and hearing that it’s all about interpretation, made me that little bit for confident :D
I’m started a beginner’s contemporary dance class for teens (so hard to find beginner classes for teams but thankfully it’s at a place near me where I did dance as a toddler) and I’m very excited, I’m not very flexible but other than that I think I’m ready
Thank you Steezy! I've been looking forward to trying something new, something outside of my comfort zone. My background is Dancehall (male + female), so I'm excited to try sth completely new and level up 💯 you are great❤️
Omg I love that you guys did a video with Karen!!! I love her class!
I was just thinking about getting more insight on how to get started with contemporary . Thank you so much for this video 💜
Thank you for this video! I am a praise dancer and want to explore other forms of dance and movement and this really helped me understand the basics of Contemporary dance.❤
Steezy are the best for real, i started learning hiphop and contemporary cuz of how helpful ur videos are. Thank u!

This year at my dance studio we’re going to be preforming at Disney springs I was gonna do contemporary this year but my studio didn’t allow it but next year we will. I did every style but that Sonia very excited to donit next year 😻
Great content. It's speak volumes on the quality of content steezy provides. If i lived in a place w/ stable connectivity, I would've signed up.
Finally! I was waiting for this!
You're amazing, thankful for the tips and history
You guys are love ❤️
I FEEL HEARED!!!!!! thank you steezy for extending your library to contemporary, jazz and ballet...and OMG TEVYN COLE!!!!
I'm so informed and inspired from this video!
Her explanation was amazing, this coming from someone who doesn't know much about dance styles! Another great KZread video on this subject is Hero on Planet Classroom Network. Summary: Performer Reuel Rogers who personifies self-empowerment through dance!
Omg tysm!! Now i know I’m a contemporary dancer 🙌🏼
Make more content related to contemporary please! ❤️
Oh yes!! Thank you for this!!

I just found out about Contemporary dance. I’m thinking about taking dance lessons. I’ve never danced before but I know how to paint with emotions. I’m an artist and very expensive so maybe Contemporary dance is for me? I have a lot to learn.
Very nice

Sis can i start contemporary at 25 ( I haven't done pilates yoga or exorcise before) I'm totally inflexible but can I start it now and get flexibility at this age?

Guys I’m 24 yr old. Does anyone think it’s too late to start? Like anyone else on the same boat? How do you guys get confidence to go to a studio to dance?

Hey! I took my first contemporary class when I was 21. Nothing is impossible. Take that class and be consistent with the techniques and you'll soon see tremendous changes! Don't let the age stop you! ♥️
Can we have kaycee rice 🙏🥺
I'm sorry "Kot Ket" 🤣🤣🤣
If I told myself from 2years ago I’ll be learning how to dance, I wouldn’t believe it. Look at what covid has done to me 😂
1:33 lmao that subscribe to steezy from the croud
Hey you! Ever wondered who created you? Well, let me tell you the truth, Jesus Christ! He is your Saviour and heavenly Father. He loves you and died for you. You are never too far gone to get to know Him and accept Him in your heart! :) Have a blessed day!!💖
Can you u be 18years and learn how to dance Very well
I don't know how to wiggle 😔
I came from jimin Dance performance 💜
Interesting. It seems like the "philosophy" and origin of Contemporary Dance actually closely aligns with what choreographers like Keone Madrid, Anthony Lee, and Franklin Yu ucalled "urban dance", if I'm understanding correctly. However, I don't think anyone could confuse the two styles. Why is that? Is there a new name for what was called "urban dance"? I notice that Steezy Studio has "Open Style" in that place now, but I have yet to see that term used elsewhere.
You look kinda like Camilla Mendes
So anyone wanna sponsor me😭😭😭
😋🤩💃

That's exactly what happens to me. Now I join to a class that have 4 dance styles including contemporary dance and I feel really anxious because of that. I'm 23 and also I don't think that I'm flexible enough to dance this, but I think I'll try my best

@@alessandrarojas0120 don’t be contemporary is you learning the dance and expressing yourself through it or doing the moves in your own way. Also you don’t have to be flexible to look you “good” you just have to put your all in it and your emotions :) . Plus it’s about your structure etc
Excuse me maam you know hindi
