Its not sinking, its grounding. When there is less depth, the ship's bottom touches sea bed taking all weight on. As the bottom is not flat, the ship gets listed to one side. Most probably it will stay in this position only untill pulled out. It happens due to mis calculation or poor navigation.

@@hugocheng6243 yes they are alive, but they would have a lot of questions to answer. That would be hard for the captain to lose his ship; and the crew, termination of contract, they go home and for some they cannot stay home because some might not have been out long. They will need to get back on a ship adding more time, longer to be away from their families. I have 2 adopted sons, 2 friends and a Nephew on cargo ships. One son was in mid contract and the ship's owner sold the ship. All her crew had to go home. It kind of messed my son's home time up. I do feel sorry for the captain and crew that lost their ship. Take care, be safe always. 😉🙂 One son is a first officer, he has his time and Captain's Certificate; one son is 2nd mate. One friend is 2nd officer, the other friend is a crewman. My Nephew is just starting on a small container ship. I am still not sure of his official job title. Hehe Again, take care 🙂
