Hi guys...I will give you a brilliant and simpler suggestion than bituminous wooden pillars. PVC pipes used for sewerage with a diameter of 160 or larger, to be put in pits and then reinforced concrete in the middle and cast concrete, last 200 years.

thank you very much for the idea, but unfortunately, not everything is so simple, we had them for free and there is no light there, we don’t have a lot of capital, what did we do with what we had

The primary beam connection to the bituminous pillar foundations are surely inadequate. Diagonally drilled lag scews would not have enough holding down. Use a steel strap the next time. Saddle them over the primary timber beams (like an inverted U) and nail/bolt the free ends to/through the pillars.

What chemical do you use for threating the wood? Here in Puerto Rico I found a thing called "copertox" but it was a long time ago. It left a green color in the wood like the one you use. Is your chemical DIY, if so please share the mix. Thank.

PVC is a very good idea but where I live in España (Balearic Islands) it is prohibited to build with cement and concrete; you can only build small houses with wood unless you have more than 15,000 square meters (161,458 square feet). That's why the foundations wood works very well for me. Thank you for this project👍👍👍
