Constructing a Regular Pentagon within given Circle By Using Ruler and Compass
This video explain about How to Constructing a Regular Pentagon within given Circle By Using Ruler and Compass tool
Polygons are frequently referred to have particular names. Some of these are listed below.
A pentagon is a plane figure bounded by five sides.
A hexagon is a plane figure bounded by six sides.
A heptagon is a plane figure bounded by seven sides.
An octagon is plane figure bounded by eight sides.
A nonagon is a plane figure bounded by nine sides.
A decagon is a plane figure bounded by ten sides.

Yes ,you are absolutely aright
Well explained. Easy to follow. Keep it up!
thx u 🥺❤️ heh.. I'm done on my assignment 😭❤️🤭✨
I think we can make it in a very easy way But this method helps to learn a lot if we understand each step
I am about to make a fidget toy in the shape of a pentagon. This video really helped me. Thanks
Awesome method
Thank you, very helpful))
I've done a construction with compass/ruler of a regular pentagon/pentagram. This one seems simpler. I'll give it a try.
good video
Fast easy 👍
Thanks mate, it uses the flower of life also
Thank you .I finally can finish my maths activity
Golden rule number .5*(1+sqrt(5)) helps. Half of that is sin(54 deg).
Tq sir
nice background music

Very easy n nice
Set the dividers at 50 m.m. and then show 60 m.m. The finish product showed some error on the last point of construction,
👍👍

What about dividing into portion
Good
FYI, you are using dividers which are only good for measuring. A compass , which has a geared wheel in the center, should be used for drawing circles since it is much more accurate.

@@joelsanni1696 Musn't say what? I was just pointing out the differences between the tool being used, and that there's a better option. (35+ years as a professional draftsman)
Yo any body else vibe to the playboi carti in the backround of this mans video
Tried it longer than 50mm so many times and it's just not accurate :(( But the 50mm worked.

Funny you sound say this. I tried something of this scale initially, and it worked out. I figured larger would be better, as there would be fewer "rounding errors", but I've encountered the same issue as you. This doesn't scale up. Which means there is "flaw" which is hidden with a 50mm circle, but is revealed with a larger circle, or something else is wrong. Notice at the end of this video the 5th line segment doesn't "exactly" line up with the starting point. That could be an indication this method doesn't yield a perfect 72 degree angle. I've never seen a technical description of why this construction works. It could be this is close to a pentagon, but not exact. This is still better than free-hand drawing a pentagon. :)

It can be shown that it does work using geometry, algebra, and law of cosines. It is not an approximate method. Errors in construction are of course possible.

The last step, marking off the circle with the points, is the source of error. Stepping around the circle in one direction will introduce an error, as seen. The length used in stepping is a tiny bit off, so the marks are slanted in that direction. Step around the circle, using the same starting point each time, but a clock-wise pass and an anti-clockwise pass. Each point on the circle now has two 'steps', instead of one. Clock-wise steps drift one way, anti-clockwise steps drift the opposite way, at the same rate. The intersections of the step-marks is the correct central angle for the pentagon. Draw a line from the center of the circle through the step intersection, and where that line crosses the circle, make your dot. Connect the dots, Pentagon!
Happy sale

Wtf? Does some actually not know how to do this? I thought this was thought at school as kid.
Why do you have to make drawing a pentagon so fucking complicated there are better ways than this that don't involve re aligning the planets..
