Origins, content and progress of He Whakaaro Here Whakaumu mō Aotearoa: The Report of Matike Mai Aotearoa - The Independent Working Group on Constitutional Transformation to develop and implement an inclusive Constitution for Aotearoa convened by Moana Jackson. Current actions of He Puapua, Vision2020Aotearoa and National Plan of Action to implement United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP). Discusses constitutions as a cultural creation and compares Māori and Western concepts and sites of power. Summarises constitutional foundations, values, models and provides recommendations for the future. Stating the goal of constitutional transformation for Aotearoa by 2040.
