Consistency as we have learned it, is not sustainable...here's why.

Consistency caught up to me..
I had to take a short break from the podcast but I’m back with a special episode that I believe is right on time.
I think one of the biggest hurdles that creatives have to jump over along the creative journey is consistency. It’s something that has been simplified and broken down to a science but I still think all social media gurus forget the “human” aspect of the process as well.
Consistency as we have learned it, is not sustainable. However we can make it work for us.
In this episode we will talk about:
Redefining Consistency: Finding a flow and pace that works for you and your individual lifestyle & redefining what consistency looks like in your life.
Momentum vs Consistency: The importance of momentum in getting started & how momentum sets us up to be consistent.
Staying the Course: Momentum is a season, the importance of rest, & unlearning toxic productivity and hustle culture whilst navigating consistency in your creativity.
Thank you for being here! Let me know your thoughts on this episode and I’ll see you next week 🌱

I love this perspective- consistency will look different depending on what goals we've set for ourselves and our goals should be unique to us and reflect what's realistic for us!

For me consistency is like the energy I put into my priorities. And I realize that that means applying a life system that I built to live with an ED, to other parts of my life. And Its just Doing What You Can, right? (If I dont have the energy to cook because I havent eaten, what do I have the energy to cook? If thats nothing, Then what can I drink?) but as im unlearning strict perfectionism, I think its a structure that will really allow me to build strength in other areas of my life, like studying and skin care ☺️And I should probably even like, write the steps out, so I dont have to remember how to give myself a break when Im pushing myself really hard. I love these videos, thank you for sharing with us! Im healing and your videos help me stop judging myself for a moment and I really appreciate that. Its super peaceful and productive. ❤❤

First of all this is a great video and I am glad it came up in my recommended! Personally when I think about consistency and momentum, I MUST bring up PURPOSE and MEANING because those are the things that give the consistency and momentum VALUE. Example: If I am consistent with going to my 9-5 job that I HATE, I can easily get into a state of momentum where I am following a routine however, there's no REAL meaning in it for me. Contrast: If I am consistent with going to the gym (and I LOVE IT!), I actually have a DESIRE to get into a momentum that keeps me MOTIVATED and INCENTIVIZED to continue on. I am ok with not posting CONSISTENTLY if it means I put out material that has little to no VALUE to ME. I can easily and QUICKLY put out a video every day however, I know in my heart that it isn't TRULY from my HEART and that to me... is NOT worth being consistent about. Without attaching meaning and purpose to what I am doing, I run the risk of "going through the motions" and becoming a zombie who is consistently doing things of little to no value. Ok.. I'm done! Thanks for this video and thanks for the encouragement! I wish you NOTHING but the best! Keep up the great work! 💪🏾
