True. I used him regardless bc 1. before his rerun I was not a Kazuha haver :( and 2. Venti still does a shitload of damage, it’s just not as autowin with non CC-able mobs.

F12 is indeed mostly designed to be CC proof, but usually there are some chamber with "pullable" enemies so most of the time I just "Eh, let's use Venti to lesser my pain. I still get 9* anyway". His energy refund is also nice QoL for me.

Kokomi's main advantage is being future-proof. Her kit allows her to easily adapt to any changes in the meta. Quite fitting for the tactician that she is.

4:27 small correction here, Healing Bonus is better than HP% for most of Kokomi's roles as everything also scales with her Healing Bonus, hence why Kokomi roles request a Healing Bonus circlet over HP%. The reason why the old Hydro resonance wasn't good for her though is because "Incoming Healing" is different from "Healing Bonus" meaning she wasn't benefiting at all from hydro resonance outside of healing a little more.

yeah that would be true...if the old resonance didnt buff the INCOMING healing bonus but the regular one (and yes there's a diffrence, since these 2 are separate stats), since that's the stat her passive scales with. So new resonance is a really strong buff for her. Edit: that is if we're talking about her dmg in burst or whatever

Since the old resonance was an INCOMING Healing Bonus, healers that weren’t Hydro got boosted, especially if their heals didn’t scale off HP. This is like Pyro resonance helping all attackers, not just Pyro ones.

@@K.G444 Healing bonus isn't for just healing, it's for her damage. Her damage also scales off of Healing bonus which is why a healing bonus circlet is more beneficial than a hp% circlet

She's my least lucky pull. At 80 pity I lost the 50/50 to diluc, a character I'll never use, then had to pull 85 more times to get her on gaurenteed :(

omg same thing, i got lucky pulling her 16 pulls after raiden and then 16 pulls later i got mona but i decided to build kokomo as she fits in very well with my yoimiya vape comp. my xq is only c2 so im gonna bench him for a while.

at her release i got 3 kokomis in 8 wishes, so i decided to play her despite all critics. She's actually my most played and favorite character in the game, she's one of the most useful character for hydro application and for healing (even better in open world) and she can be played as a mdps if well built

@yaaaan So i got Yoimiya at very late pity. My dumbass wanted more Yunjin cons so 8 single pulls later i got Mona. Then 11 single pulls after that i got C1 Yoimiya (which i still regret doing bcuz i just wanted yunjin) but overall i honestly think singles are better. The % chance of getting a 5* star can just randomly skyrocket which is awesome whereas with 10 pulls it's just a 1 to 9 chance of it being a 5*. You can get screwed either way but i still like singles better

Im legit pulling for her. I lost her orig banner to a qiqi, had to skip her rerun bc of guaranteed ayato. Now, altho still a 50/50, i’ve alrdy saved enough fates to get her guaranteed. Idc what others say abt her. All i know is that dendro bloom is fun and having another healer on your account other than bennett and diona is nice! Lezgo kokomrades

I triple crowned my Kokomi because she was esthetically my favorite character and I don’t regret anything lol. I’m gonna miss the days where I didn’t have to fight someone to play Kokomi in co-op 😂

I love Kokomi even if I can't uses her with Hu Tao. I have been saved so many times thanks to Kokomi all because she's like a Zhongli that heals instead of shield and can be interrupted but she's hydro, easy to build like Zhongli, and will never die if build well. She was never a regret to have since her first banner.

Queen Kokomi. It is embarrassing for the players that hated her and bashed the Queen. 💅

New Chars are more important than any Weapon. You're delusional if your whole argument for getting the Donut is "my favorite character" Lots of us love Zhongli and yet his Weapon is still trash beyond recommendation 🗑️🚮 Same thing can be said for Shenhe or Klee's Weapon. People should really think more rational and look into the next few Updates rather than acting all emotional like **"oh mah gawd it's mah fav char and i just need the weapon even tho ITS A FUCKING WASTE ghghghghhg♡♡ ) that's just stupid. At the end of the day you can do whatever you want and i don't mean it in a bad way, but still.

I'm going to try to get her this time. Since the 3.0 patch I'm craving Electro teams, so she will be my Taser team core, while the other Electro team is Aggravate with Keqing! Taser: Beidou, Fischl, Kokomi, Flex and Aggravate: Keqing, Kuki, Dendro MC, Flex. Both Flex slots are probably Anemo units.

As someone with c4 Mona, i may still get kokomi. Being able to heal as well as provide hydro application is so much more flexible than just a pure buffer

I got her at her first Banner. Kokomi is just pretty, she open more and more team as time went on. She made me learned to Dodge and use more technical team like Sukokomon. Dendro solidifies her place; she is one of the greatest Hydro unit for utility. Plus she is very cheap to build now with Clam and Gilded Dream.

Also fun fact, her auto attack doesn’t make any tracks in the sand

The most important thing and the one that wasn't said in this video is that she's the best off-field AoE hydro applicator. XQ and Yelan don't work in some teams. Ayato and Childe require field time. Mona and Ayato have much vorse off-field hydro app.

About the Bloom teams: Nilou will buff explosions, so both of them in a team may be ridiculously good

you have to apply pilous hydro then if u use kokomis hydro then the core will look different and work different pilous core is bigger and explodes faster and does more dmg so you'll mis out on dmg if u apply hydro with Kokomo

I'm pulling Kokomi exactly because I only have one Zhongli for the Abyss. Thanks for the confirmation; you said exactly what I wanted to hear :D

On her first banner I got Kokomi instead of Rosaria which made me quiet upset lol Despite this I still ended up levelling her and noticed how great she was even without the clam-set. By now she is one of my favorite and most used units and almost never leaves my team(s)!

I originally didn't get kokomi cause I already had mona, but now that I have both ganyu and ayaka, I needed another applier After 3.0, I've decided that I'll get kokomi for my ganyu freeze team

Her being the first limited 5 star I got without a pity, Im so proud of her T-T she went from hated to being one of the most useful characters

Kokomi has replaced my C6 Zhongli for most content. Her aoe and hydro application have made gameplay more exciting and have opened up many team combos. Too many people, especially content creators, are meta slaves- only worried about big numbers. She is a well balanced character that deserves more love.

i've always considered kokomi as zhongli, but balanced, and been using her since her debut pretty often

I had her last year in a random 10 pull after I got Raiden in her banner. At the time her drop rate was so high because no one was pulling for her 😭. She's a constant in my team and I even got her BIS weapon. She's similar to Zhongli and Kazuha in the sense that Zhongli has the best shield, Kazuha has the best exploration skill, and Kokomi for healing. If you want a better quality of life in the game, especially if you're a mobile user. These three are a must-have.

I got Zhongli in this current banner, then just pull another 10 just for building pity. Ended up I got another 5 star which is Diluc. Now, I am guaranteed for the next 5 star. Definitely will pull for my beloved Kokomi.

I really don't know. I started playing during Raiden's first banner, which was immediately followed by Kokomi's. Obviously I had no use for her back then. I've wanted her for an Ayaka freeze comp for a while, but I skipped her rerun last time because, well, at that point I still didn't have Ayaka and was saving for her. But now I was saving my guaranteed for Alhaitham, which didn't happen because I love fox boy way too much and as a f2p the odds of getting him off standard aren't great. So now I'm not guaranteed anymore and I really, really want to bring Alhaitham home. But Kokomi! So many choices.

I'm trying to build my ayaka freeze team. I have ayaka, kazuha, and mona (which i kinda prefer kokomi). Should I save for shenhe or pull for kokomi? Meta-wise

She's a bomb ass unit tbh and even if she wasn't, just by how cute she is i am compelled to pull for her already 🥹 sitting at 73 pity with guaranteed banner pull rn!

I took two months to learn Adobe After Effects and Premier Pro. Now I am learning soft soft to make soft so I can have more verity

so I'm actually the kind of player who gets massive value out of *both* comfort/ease of use and mechanical mastery of a kit. if i'm getting off a busy day of work and want to grind out my resin and a few enemy materials, i'm not in this to DPS farm or clear abyss in record time. if it's the weekend and i can effectively hunch over and no life the game for a few hours, i'll swing the other way. kokomi's use as a comfort character over skill ceiling is perfect for a solid half the time i play this game, whereas a lot of characters i feel like are "just fine enough" to use in both scenarios when looking at it from that perspective.

the nice part is that this video actually down played kokomi quite a bit because there are situation and team ehere the "dedicated better options" either don't have aoe or don't have enough uptime, while guess what kokomi has 100% uptime and huge aoe plus heals, and the most important his of all, kokomi is very fun to use and can walk on water

I'm sorry, but Barbara is the worst hydro applicator. Because the worst trade off there being is that if you're going against any cryo enemy, you WILL be frozen because of Barbara's self hydro application. It also makes you susceptible to vape reactions and electro charge, which staggers you. It's really annoying. And it sucks, because since I've been playing, I've only HAD Barbara as a hydro. Like. She's my only hydro. I cannot get any other character on the banner. I don't even have enough glitter to buy xingxiu in paimons shop. It really fricking sucks. If hoyoverse buffed Barbara in that aspect that she doesn't self apply hydro, she would be so playable and rewarding

The meta just changed since when Barbara released . Back then it was useful for removing domain auras . She was BIS 4 star for Pyro lectors for a while (since they where made with Kokomi in mind and she is a 5 star Barbara at the base) , now we have a lot more Hydro units so thats also not important anymore . So yeah ... Most starter units need a buff at this point.

I used to defend her from bashful people who kept saying trash about her upon her release. I do understand if people like better characters (or dislike certain characters), but other people just wanted to be toxic for no reason at all. Just let people enjoy the game.

Ever since kokomi released and i got her she is always on my any team i love her a lot. I invest low on her just using ttds and some 4 star arti tenacity. She is good enough and do her job well as support.

Pull for her if only have Xingqiu or don't have him at all, if you have any other 5* hydro, she really is not needed, if need for healing only, you have Barbara, or even Qiqi, but there is Bennet, Diona, Sayu ,Jean and Kuki, even Dori in the future, Kokomi is the perfect unit for starters, innecesary for end gamers. And if you think you need her in dendro teams because need healer, Kuki is a fine option,, or just wait for a dendro healer, if you think about it, every element have a healer minus dendro so that maybe is a soon TM.

For me, a ftp, I honestly would not wish for Kokomi since Barbara can revive and heal nicely, and I do not really need a buffer since my team is a massive swirl type, and characters don’t really have elemental mastery. My team generally consist on heizou, Jean, Bennett or fiscal and zhongli, and I sometimes use hu Tao to so my need of Kokomo is pretty low, but on my alt, I have her and I like her play style.

Personally i think she has great investment value for F2P because she open up a lot of team combination while still give a lot of utility. You can make freeze team with kaeya, taser team with lisa, vape team with xiangling, and hyperbloom team also with lisa.

Al Haitham is prolly going to be released on 3.6+ update based on leaks so you still have plenty of time to save if you want to pull for 3.0 - 3.1 characters. 🙂

The most "comfy" thing about Kokomi is that in the overworld or in an easy domain you can just use her skill for a consistent off-field hydro, no energy management required.

Kokomi is way more versatile, better for F2P, but if you're a whale, get Nilou, she is a premier bloom unit.

Every. FUCKING. Time. What is with this genshin meta-slave fandom to go through this whole cycle again and again with seemingly every new 5-star that isn't an immediately obvious DPS unit. like it or not, mhy holds all the cards here. they can design a character with the literal worst kit, but guess what, they hold the keys to everything else too. They WILL make that character work, through new artifact sets, element synergy, spiral abyss redesign, however the fuck they want.

Everyone is at the beggining.

My funny story about Kokomi is that I got her on her first run because I saw the leak of her idles. I am a big Xingqiu fan, so I pulled for her because I thought they'd be cute to put together in a team! (However, as much as I love my girl, I still think -100 crit rate for 25% healing bonus is a huge scam...)

when kokomi was out for the 1st time she was hated soo much that the Chinese voice actor of kokomi had to stop streaming coz hate Even if the voice actor only voiced kokomi its better now days

I've tried Ayato Hyperbloom. Works like a charm with Dendro traveler, Kuki (Full EM, hyperbloom trigger), and Kazuha/Albedo.

Honestly Kokomi has a niche were she is way better than Yelan and Xinqui. She nor her teammates dont need to do anything once the jellyfish is there, in teams where normal attacks arent used she is the best. Best exemples being Ganyu's Morgana Comp (Mona needs much more investment to work but it allows you to switch out Diona for Shenhe/Rosaria) and some new Hyperbloom comps ive seen this days (Main one being Tighnari, Yae, Fishl, Kokomi).

Is yelan buff really bigger than kokomi though ? Kokomi gives a stable 68% attack buff , yelan gives up to 50% damage bonus over time but its average around 26% , that's not more than kokomi 68% attack in most cases

In terms of built utility, yeah Yelan is a bigger buffer, but Kokomi can overtake her with her broken kit.

@@sera8648 It does make sense in the context. He was talking about the hydro roster and kokomi's overall relative utility. The comparison btw Yelan and Kokomi was made when individually breaking down the topic of buffing and how Kokomi ranks among other hydro buffers. At no other time were they compared. Besides, when did I ever say ppl use Yelan or Kokomi "purely for their buffs"?? And buffs aren't a "bonus" in their kits. It is an integral part of their kits just like healing is for Kokomi. Because they are not external buffs like those you get from artifacts or weapons. Its a part of their kit because its literally specific to them and coded into their kit. Like Bennett's buff or Yunjin's buff.

I really do want kokomi, but i’m also lacking of main dps unitd, any advices on who should i pull?

Ganyu, if you are good with a bow, otherwise wait for 3.0 characters next banner. If you need a dps more. However you will wanna build characters you want more than whatever you need. So if you want her I’d go for her!

Kokomi is really good on field DPS especially since she works amazingly with sub DPS

Personally I plan to pull for Kokomi for the ultimate comfort she will bring my team. Then I will have Yelan, Zhongli and Kokomi scaling on hp muahaha

Not really , in bloom currently yes but they are making a tailor made unit for bloom ( nilou) in 3.1 so if you wanna play bloom their you go i guess . For hyperbloom she is far from the best , since full em kuki is usually best pick for hyperbloom teams kokomi healing become useless since you already have a healer ( kuki). And you want a hydro unit with good personal dmg like XQ , yelan or ayato . In hyperbloom you actually want fast hydro since electro and hydro co-exist via electrocharged and you want to spawn as many seeds as you can .

I'm still on the fence. On one side, I want to pull Dori and see how she works (if I like her in the Test Run) and on the other hand I want to wait to see who the 5 stars are in 3.1. My main account will likely be saving but I do kind of want Kokomi on my 2nd. I know you weren't trying to make us say yes or no to her but I think this video has pushed me further to the no decision. I do still want her though. :(

You can look from leaks or even from Genshin official new characters

@@jeremyg2236 I know. But until we get close to 3.1 there won't be official releases and the leaks can't 100% be trusted.

@@mischarowe the 5* already confirmed though......if you're following leaks before, then yes 4* is still unknown, but 5* is confirmed.
