I agree people like this have a certain amusing charm to them... not so much when they are put in charge of government or otherwise getting up in one's business or private life. I miss the days when people were more willing to live and let live (but then again sometimes progress requires chaos & animosity. 🤷‍♂️)

My husband (who’s more centrist than conservative) is like this. We have a plaster wall that needs torn out and dry walled and he swears he can do it himself. Talk about a mess. There’s a big fireplace and mantle in the middle of it, a door, and a window too. Nope. Not letting him do it. 😆
