King of the Hill was a conservative show, purely because it appeals to them. But if you watch it, you quickly realize that almost every time Hank and the gang's values are challenged, they change by the end of the episode. Its a critique of conservatism, and they often become more "liberal" at the end of each episode. Its a great show. i love it.

I think Ben Shapiro heard a liberal say “conservatives only have one joke” in response to one of those attack helicopter comments, and then he took it super personally and decided to make it everyone else’s problem.

Good stories don't come from neither left nor right. They come from people who want to tell good stories. Matt Walsh has gone on record saying adults shouldn't watch cartoons. Not cartoons for kids, which would already be a ludicrous statement, just cartoons period. While he doesn't represent everyone at the Daily Wire, with such a prominent figure having a take like that, it's not shocking to me that the Daily Wire crashes and burns every time they try to do something media related that's primary purpose is to entertain rather than inform. Fun Fact, they actually wanted lady ballers to be a documentary about trans women in women’s sports, but they couldn’t because they found out you need to be on HRT for a certain number of years in order to qualify for female sports as a trans woman. They aimed to make an edgelord cartoon to offend the "libs" and ended up producing something too bland and tame to offend anyone. I don't like to say modern media is "too political". If anything, I think modern media has forgotten the purpose of political themes. Social commentary is supposed to make us THINK about issues, and we don't really see that anymore. Instead it's more focused on pointing the finger at whatever group you don't like and shouting "look how stupid they are!" And before you tell me this is a problem specific to the "right" or "left", it's something you see on both sides. Tell me the left leaning straw man in this show isn't written the EXACT same way a "woke" cartoon like Velma would write a straight, white, right-leaning Christian male.

I can at least say Velma, despite making most of the characters unlikable or changing their personalities completely, is still interesting to look at. The art style is super unique by adult comedy show standards. Mr. Birchum manages to be boring and make Family Guy look like a moving Renaissance painting by comparison.

They said "heteronormative" instead of "heterosexual" because their audience would've been upset if they said "sex."

It does reek of trying to be too offensive based around how to offend Leftists the most. Don't diss Tubi. They have almost all the Hub shows including Littlest Pet Shop 2012 and Dan Vs. And it is free! But I have to agree. Mr Birchum....is just awful. As The Daily Wire+ should not even be a thing as well as their pricey Bentkey service where Chip Chilla is, being a poor Bluey clone.

I think that's where the biggest problem with the show lies. They're bragging about having the urge to trigger the left yet are too afraid to actually say anything offensive. The biggest thing about this show, is that it ironically becomes exactly what alot of right-wingers or anti-left are complaining about current media. In fairness to "the conservatives," The Daily Wire lately has done a lot to anger people who could fall under that wide umbrella of "conservative" lately. Matt Walsh alone is the weird boomer uncle who has half a point a good amount of the time but always has to ruin it by trying to marry that with some cringe fringe lunatic thing he heard on Facebook. I don't support this, a lot of people don't, especially since the Daily Wire in particular for whatever reason are just trying to out-left the left on this and it's just bad. King of the Hill wore its perspective on its sleeve, it's comedy, but reserved and... well... conservative in more than just political affiliation. That's what made it work. It traded the raw guffaw power of a Family Guy shock joke for eminent believability to get you to laughing.

Buried in the annals of theory positions is something known as the theory of Empire, it is explicitly a left-wing notion, and it states that not only is every piece of media political, every piece of media is propaganda. So the Daily Wire see this, see left wingers absolutely take this position, and want to out-do them on their own terms. Needless to say, I think at best this is trying to win a flame war with a wet match against a Flammenwerfer, but it nevertheless is an accurate depiction of events.

I think it's noteworthy that none of the actors/writers who work at the Daily Wire had any amount of success. It's almost like these shows are made out of bitterness and jealousy or something.

Let me get this straight: The Daily Wire, a political news broadcaster, was annoyed about media being political. So their answer to this "Political agenda" was to make a show that's just as political without focusing on the story for kids, and then make another political show that does the same thing except for adults who don't want to be "political"? That's very political for a source that's political yet claims that it doesn't want to be political. Also what people do and don't consider "political" is in itself political. I've seen SpongeBob episodes that are edgier than this.

This show is simply just The Goode Family all over again, except this time, its conservative.

The Goode Family was supposed to be making liberals look like idiots. Funny enough this show does the same for conservatives even though that's the opposite of its intention.

King of the Hill did conservative comedy better not only because it was funny but it also had heart. This show however is what happens when you blend conservative comedy with apathy.

No, that's just an anti-conservative talking point propagated by communist bigots as a form of confession through projection. Conservative comedy is comedy and anybody who says it is not funny as lying. Communist comedy is an oxymoron. Only conservatives are funny because only conservatism is rooted in reality.

Only shows that do this well are koth and american dad as it's only sprinkled in at times and not the main joke. Like when stan and haley debated about guns and we get the legendary swordgun scene. Or jeff talks about obamacare to make stan angry. Plus they didn't take the lowest hanging fruit to talk about trump like literally every comedian or show or fake talk show and stuck to being funny.

I’m sorry to say this, but I think we may just have to accept the possibility of Family Guy clones being a permanent staple in American adult animation at this point. To put this into perspective, we are almost halfway through the 2020s and they’re STILL consistently being made after they first started popping up in the late 2000s/early 2010s. The best thing we can do as animation enthusiasts is to try our best to support better, well-rounded adult cartoons that are more mature and actually have some originality and soul to them.

Mr Birchum is somehow worse than brickleberry in terms of writing and looks just as bad. Can these people stop trying to write animated comedies/comedies in general? They're really bad and airing it on *The Daily Wire* is just...sad.

This show was trying to be the next Velma or She Hulk and ride the wave of outrage, but it has two issues. 1: Velma and She Hulk didn’t even try to appeal to the Left. They just spouted as much insane crap as possible from the extreme left. Mr. Birchum just isn’t unhinged enough to garner outrage. 2: Parrot Analytics probably won’t vouch for Mr. Birchum.

So they mean that you're getting a 'free' Leftist Tears drink holder. I believe Tumblr's name was derived from the drink holder's name, but I'm not 100% on that. 12:55 Gonna assume it's for 'discipline', though the clips you've shown suggest that she's quiet and unobtrusive. Other than that early issue, I quite liked this review. You made something boring and passé into an enjoyable video, so props for that.

The most funniest thing that proves their main character is a suppressed Homosexual is that he's obsessed with Bears which as we all know is a term for a hairy gay man. So yeah they unintentionally made their main character who was supposed to be nothing but rage bait for the LGBTQ+ community probably sympathise with him more because he's a closeted homosexual. The moment I saw the animations it looked like another Brickleberry, or Paradise PD, or American Dad. I don’t get why the squishier side of Conservatives spend all day complaining about how bad TV shows are (which they aren’t wrong about) and then *answer* to that solution by literally doing the same thing but wearing a Red tie instead of a Blue one. Its garbage, and it saddens me that the only good piece of entertaining media that came out of DW+ was Run Hide Fight, which I genuinely enjoyed. It’s all been downhill from there.

You know political controversy aside, the sad thing about this show is how it’ll be forgotten pretty quickly. At least Allen Gregory, adult party cartoon or family guy are memorable in their shock humor. This is just pretty passé and bland

I honestly don't know how a "conservative" thought this show was a good idea. All the time I hear conservatives complain about men on TV being portrayed as idiots (family guy.simpsons, american dad, etc). So what do they do? They make another one just like them... What they should have done is made the father a serious character that provided for his family and worked hard. Gotta beat the tv stereotype, not add to it.

I watched this through a react and it was actually much worse than i expected. It felt exactly like that parody Alasdair made "every episode of generic animated sitcom". It follows the rhythms of comedy, but its not funny nor sensical in any way. And the way they use the "jingles" and stuff on scene transitions somehow few like forced, and i dont know how that can be, everyone does this, but the way they this seems off.
