Conrail Shared Assets 2010 Santa Train w/ a GREAT RS3L Horn!

Two ex Conrail GP40-2s, the lead unit with a great sounding Leslie RS3L horn, are the power for this years Santa Train. The train travels on ex Pennsy rails, out of Browns Yard, in Parlin, NJ. It takes the ex Pennsy Freehold Secondary all the way to Freehold, where the line ends today.

Every year, I wait for this train to roll through Freehold! My co-worker and I watch it from our windows at the museum on Court St. It is such a treat to see this train arrive each year, and so much more appreciated now, knowing how far it has traveled! Next year, could you film the train at the Rt. 537 Crossing, heading towards the old Karaghusian Rug Mill? I never get to see that part! Thank you so much for the videos!

The 2011 Santa Train is on Saturday, December 10, stopping at the intersection of Throckmorton Street and West Main Street in Freehold at noon. Stopping at the bus stop in front of Rita's.
I always like to try and chase the train through the section of track you have labeled as manalapan
The train will also stop at the Jamesburg Fire Department for a Christmas party.
