@@DeityVengy Thanks man! This guide is basically like a bible for aspiring dual blade players like me. I just got my ult to level 3 so I'm about to start enjoying that sweet cooldown reduction. Do you only use the target ability for javs and pretty much only when an enemy is stunned or more liberally? I assume this is the prime time to use it but are there any other good have tactics to keep in mind when it comes to javs?

@@danielhughes3758 pretty much only when i have them ulted. sometimes if its a choke point like a tower, i just throw my javs through it and it kills people. otherwise the only other thing u can do which is pretty rare and glitchy is kick someone and use the 1 ability.

Finally find a very useful guide for DB, very good work.

Incredible video which was immensly useful. Just a couple of questions. Can you clarify what you mean by the back flip alchemic vapours (do you just mean face the other way of the direction you want to go in) and can you also describe what you mean about using their body position as reference? Thanks so much. Must have taken a serious amount of time but it was very helpful.

yeah just facing the other direction so ur alchemical pushes u forward. if ur right on their body, u can do this backflip alchemical on them using their body as a "wall" to quickly attack them after the cc break

So you that you only need 1700 slashing pen at most, and after that you want to go for raw slashing damage. I see that you have 1778 slashing pen, and also have a rune that increases your slashing pen by 50 on your armor. Wouldnt you want to replace that rune with a green slashing damage rune that adds 15dmg? Or is it even worth it? Im around the same numbers as you and was wondering your take on it. It would drop you to 1728 which keeps you above the 1700 minimum. But is the +15 slashing damage even worth it?

1700 is the minimum. you will do full damage to light, medium, and hybrid heavy armors. full armor heavy armors(1100 slash defence) is where u will have reduced dmg so might as well get the 50 pen instead of 15 dmg

I am a main DualBlade since S2, and i have to say, this is a good guide. Just some personal corrections: 1-Please DONT USE AUTO AIM option on TW, otherwise you won't take down those critical artilaries if a hero is near them. Artilary is a priority. 2-You can win 1v1 Poleaxes if they are alone, you just need to bait theyr ult and take it in the face (breathe it wont kill you), then spam alchemical vapors before and Kick them down to avoid theyr combo, then 2 or 3 normal atacks, ult and finish your combo (buterfly+infiltrator(double+slash)) and its all good. ;) The rest ill keep it a secret :D

yeah u can even set up a macro to turn on and off autoaim with a press of a button. If im going for artillery, i just turn off auto aim then turn it back on when its destroyed. u can win against most poleaxes that way by just facetanking their ult, but against a good poleaxe, its gonna be pretty hard. last season, alot of the poleaxes on NA went full toughness and had a god roll weapon. They were sitting at around ~40k hp and could 1 combo you if they ulted you. In the off chance u survive, u have like 10% health after using alchemical to come out and theyll only take around 60%-70% hp loss after ur combo. then they used that op heal rune and got back to full almost instantly. it was pretty much an impossible fight against a good poleaxe last season, but this season is probably much easier

Thanks for answering my previous question, but I have another. Rogue vs Skirmisher's The 50% cooldown on inf seems pretty nice. I know min maxing damage with Rogue's but I'd like your thoughts.

thanks for watching :D glad I could help you so let's say there's an opponent infront of u and u want to close the gap. u turn ur camera 180 degrees so ur back is facing them, then u use alchemical vapors so it lunges u towards them. then u turn back around facing them and use Q to go behind them. it's a very good gap closer

they nerfed the ult a while ago and made it so people get up whenever u cancel it. before that, canceling it with infiltrator and doing a backstab was wayyy more damage for sure

Hey, I'm a bit late to this game honestly and I've been trying to get the ult cancel where the full CC still goes through to work, but it never seems to work that way and they just immediately recover, is there a specific time window to do so with either your stealth moves or rolls, or has it been removed since? Idk if it's important but for additional information I play on the Chinese version rather than the Steam version of the game.

full strength too. get any slash dmg and pen runes u can. u can use 2x frost, 2x rogue set in twar for 2k+ pen

Nice guide dude xD just want to add something quick with Crit value i tested it with 200,300 and 400 crit doing ambush into the back of my friend in conclusion i hit 2 out of 5 crits with 200 and 300 and only once with 400 on the 6th strike crit does absolutely nothing to your build you dont crit more often and the numbers on your crit value doesnt matter at all

u need a bigger sample size tho to reliable test crit. i tested a sample size of 100 3 different times and i got: 4 crit = 0% crit chance 136 crit = 7-10% crit chance 272 crit = 28-32% crit chance after around 300 crit, it does seem to fall off after some retesting. i only got 30-32% crit chance with 364 crit.

Maybe i missed it but I didnt hear this tip: If ur ulting an heavy armour, instead of butterflying right after ambushing, hit the target with normal atacks 2-3 times and then butterfly, so you can use your dmg and time beeter.

Why do you jump in place when using the fog skill?

u can use someone else body to block u from jumping too far away from them. its a way to use it offensively

@@DeityVengy I actually really like the rune that gives a slow and poison when going invisible. It's great vs units as it's massive AOE damage and more more importantly it slows all nearby targets so it's even harder for them to get away.

bruh DB is nerfed so heavily now in season 18, almost 2 years later. The devsCompletley destroyed the ambush skill, never really felt that DB is op, its easily avoidable . Thx for the guide, i watched this the first time about in season 8 and really helped

I have to ask you something. Should we forget about being MVP while playing db?

nah u can definitely get mvp. its pretty common as long as u get 10+ hero kills and atleast 100 unit kills. the double jav and azap setup i have takes atleast 1.5 mil dmg if they all die which helps ur chance at getting mvp significantly. the thing that most people lack when they use cav is dmg taken, so the higher hero kills and dmg taken gives u an edge over them, even tho they have higher unit kills than u

playing javs as any other class in tw is useless. as db, its one of the best things u can do, as long as u know how to bait double kills with them and use them properly. theyre the perfect units for defending walls and points. for offense, theyre best used as a muster unit that goes in after ur team has initially pushed in. they're very good at disrupting the enemy team and causing wipes when ur team works with u. i had 10 avg hero kills per life against mid-top tier houses in NA using javs. it dropped to 5 avg when i joined a "top" house that didnt let me use javs lmao. there were so many scenarios where i couldve single handedly held the wall if i had javs, but instead had to retreat cuz of a 1v3 cuz i had basic tw units.
