Connie Haines on film, 1947.
Connie Haines was Tommy Dorsey's featured female vocalist, often alongside Frank Sinatra, in the early 1940's. She went on to a successful singing career on radio, movies, TV, and records until the 1980's. This clip is from a 1947 featurette entitled Record Party."

Connie was definitely that special sweet "Georgia Peach".......what a talented and pretty vocalist!
I'll be your fella, Connie.
Thank you for posting this gem. Connie Haines really was so underrated as a singer. And she was especially great at up-tempo swing numbers like this one where her Southern, confident, and extraverted personality shines through, although she also did a fine job on ballads as well.

Thank you. Glad you enjoyed it!
As a trivial footnote: When Connie died at 87, her mother out-lived her, aged 1O9 (!)
