I love that the modulars are moving into some of the licensed sets as well, wonder if we will ever get a Wayne industries building

The Sanctum would line up almost perfectly with the hotel.

It’s a great set minus the quantity and quality of Minifigures, plus they shouldn’t have made that unnecessary alleyway, the building should’ve just been extended 6 studs

@@Jay-Zech they have that meaningless alleyway on most modulars, and it’s frustrating when it’s on the side, so it doesn’t perfectly aline to another building

@@FDNProductions they do indeed. Yet, the alleyway is mostly there on regular modulars not corner buildings, If you look at the corner garage for example that doesn’t have alleyways. This is how the sanctum should’ve been..

The reason, the broken window on the bugle falls out, when you try to put ist at the top is because on the one, where it normally is, the side windows are built slightly different with inverted studs holding the broken window in place

Yh when I got the set I built it differently so that I could put it at the top and recreate the scene where goblin breaks in to the bugle in Spiderman 1

Last year. I was able to put it on any floor. It can no longer do that. Even on the floor it's supposed to be now

Gravity + Time + Usage I think. But the slightest movement or touch and it falls

I love how LEGO fixed that mistake! I really hope I get the Sanctum one day so I can display next to my Daily Bugle, Assembly Square, and Bookshop!

I’ve seen a couple videos the the front of both buildings connected. My plan was to connect the left side of the bugle to the back of the sanctum sanctorum to create a “superhero alley.” Seeing that they fixed it just makes so much sense. Having a huge fight or some doctor strange mirror dimension scenes in the alley would look great in my opinion.

But I really hope there’s a whole line of super hero Modulars. Like the Xavier institute or something similar. And for DC an Arkham asylum or (though probably difficult) titan’s tower.

Same, except it’s going to be full of baddies. I love the option of the big alleyway, it’s perfect for scene building.

Btw I found if you use the “L” piece you can fix the bugle, I also realized you don’t need any extra parts, the bugle has all the pieces you need to fix it

I haven't even built the Daily Bugle yet, but it is good to know what adjustments can be made to the build in order for it to connect to other build. I am still on the fence on whether I should add a realistic elevator to the Daily Bugle or not, also if I should close off the front window

I closed the front windows since there’s enough parts for it. As for the side where the part of the wall comes off i put a scaffolding as if it were under construction.

Daily Bugle: “Spider man is a menace to society!” *Meanwhile, next door in sanatarium* “Hey wong I’m going to destroy space and time for a burrito.”

When ur sets sit in the sun all day your ball pegs are sure to become loose

I just simply moved the yellow box down a stud and rearranged a few tiles which became a very easy fix for me and it was just as good.

That's the better fix. Lego was clever with what they did with Sanctum but they can't do it with ever modular going forward.

I love how STILL the Bugle antenna falls off for you but I have the NWH Vulture with his wings hung up there and it hasn't fallen once XD

@@Ashnflash Nope lol, it uses all the original pieces, could be the way I have Vulture positioned, but I also have the Spider Man from that set on his golden wire thing with his web stuck into the Bugle sign so MAYBE that helps? But I also managed to do some rule breaking stuff like the Ghost Rider car stuck to the side of the building instead of the Spider Buggy

Maybe someday we'll get the Baxter Building and we'd have a trio of enormous Lego Marvel buildings!

I think the big alley way is great because now you can fit the gargantos and have the broken wall in the daily bugle. I don’t like how they look next to each other like that but at least it’s effective

First modular was the bugle, I’ll be getting the police station, then saving for either the 500 dollar modular possibly coming this year, the hogwarts express. Though if neither of those live up to the hype I’ll get the sanctum…. I like how it looks next to the bugle and everything else but the figure thing really erks me so I’m putting it off till I have some extra figures to the overall set. Heavily recommend mils system upgraded the bugle and did a road plate as well and it worked wonders

I think if displayed right, the alley way can add in a lot of fun hidden things or maybe a battle; for instance take the Gargantos and have him bursting out the back of the Sanctorum and have the sorcerers battling him.

@@Ashnflash While this may be hard and kinda stupid my idea was maybe round the corners a bit or something to make the back a little less plain and just square. Now what could also work is maybe some little extra detailing maybe a doctor strange jumping along and like gamer said, gargantos busting out of the wall. I saw another comment suggest a big mirror fight with doctor strangers and i feel it would liven the back up so much and maybe even draw away from how square and unfinished the back looks!

This is so cool the sidewalks are soooo seemless

7:06 I get what you're saying with the large alleyway, but on the other hand I guess you have the possibility to have the tentacles on that side, and maybe more mini figures from the Daily Bugle in there? So that it looks like its nice and quiet, but then it's full action between those buildings.

i remember the detectives office had an egregious back alleyway since it was just a simple brown plate… absolutely nothing covering it and it was like around 7 or 8 studs

All the broken pieces mixed with the wires hurt me so bad😣

What are the numbers of other sets? I would love to build this mini "city"

I think the sanctum looks so weird at 7:00 is because I at least image the Sanctum being more square in design so seeing the side of the build being so thin looks weird.

Seeing the broken daily bugle gave me anxiety

The reason the broken window doesn’t work on the top floor is that the build on that floor has studs on the side that go in the window for extra security as goblin adds extra weight

Got Daily Bugle and Sanctorum

It's really ashame that gargantos hits the stairwell on the Bugle though. I think it adds some much needed detail to an otherwise bland wall; so I don't want to have him inside where he won't be seen/ the layout of him faceing the stairwell is imo the best position too.

The alleyway gives a chance to recreate the scene in Spider-Man 2 where he throws away his suit. Just add a trash can like the one in series 22.

I can’t decide between getting the daily bugle or the sanctum sanctorum but this just makes me realize I need both 😭

Me and my brother are saving up for the daily bugle and are just over halfway there but a lot of other people have reported missing pieces so we where wondering whether it is worth it if we aren’t going to be getting the full set

Its alright... I cut it out of the video cause the video was going long. But it jets out a bit too much. But the roof color isn't too noticeable since they're vastly different shapes

The reason the broken can't be attached to others in because the inside of the window has two studs to connect to the build to make sure that window doesn't fall due to extra weight. Hopefully that helps.

Would you think of adding MILS to your sets? I realise you've probably been asked that question before, and of course, buying all those extra pieces for the MILS bases are very expensive, but in view of your accident with The Daily Bugle, you might be able to avoid them in future. Anyway, I like what you've done here with your sets. I'm interested to see what people put on the right side of the Police Station, in view of the billboard, which would only be placed there if prominantly seen (and which looked good next to The Sanctum Santorum previously).

This video is quite informative. I am a bit disappointed to see that the LEGO modular Police Station looks bigger than the new LEGO Sanctum Sanctorum. Price inflation sucks!

Easiest thing for the modulars is just put one peg in. Easier to connect and disconnect.

6:05 "The alleyway is too wide" Okay, let's check that. The alleyway is 11 studs wide. Minifig scale is 3.5 studs per meter. That equates to an alleyway that's 3.14 meters wide. Okay, so how wide are alleyways? According to New York Zoning regulation, there a bunch of variances in alleyways, there's apparently more than one type of alleyway from what I could find. However, what I found as the smallest measurement is 15 feet. Other states also state 15 feet as a minimum too. 15 feet minimum is 4.572 meters. So no, actually, that alleyway is concernedly small.

Very interesting thought process. However you can't really go by conversions like that. How would characters' heights play into things. Just doesn't make sense. You need to go by what you see visually. I'll throw you this one, just a quick google search and I found that the smallest NYC dumpster is 4 yards (12 feet). Not sure if that's width or length. But either way that dumpster is far too small. A minifigure can't even fit in that.

@@jokerman5624 all modular buildings that I can think of (with the exception of Assembly Square which has a 32x32 and a 16x32 baseplate ) share the footprint of a 32x32 baseplate Out of those sets, the pet shop (from 2011), and the bookshop (2020) contain two buildings each on a 16x32 Baseplate for the combined dimensions of a 32x32 baseplate Yeah I have all the modular buildings them except for the ninjago spinoffs, this one (which I'll pick up on release day) and the Market Street from 2007.

I would like in other video to combine all the buildings you have , be it city , ninjago , marvel , dc , monkey kid , creator expert , ideas , 21325 , 70620 , 70657 , Avengers Tower , 80012 , 60292 ,60306 , 60321 , 60330 , 60335 , etc. I think they will look great together .

The Bugle doesn’t ft in visually. Too messy, and if you take away the outside action scenes you get a really boring and ugly building.
