This video shows how rear remote adapters are used on an International 1066 so it can accept implements with Pioneer style male tips on the hoses. The International 1086 and 1066, as well as several other models, have rear remotes designed with a specific socket style that does not accept the universal Pioneer style male quick couplers used on the hose tips of most farm implements. A simple and low-priced solution is to install rear remote adapters that convert the IH old style rear remotes to standard Pioneer style rear remotes.
Keep in mind when installing the adapter, the collar of the socket needs to be flush with the outer housing of the rear remotes. If the collar has been pushed in, the adapter won't click in. In that case, simply reach your hand to the back of the rear remote housing and push with your fingers until the inner collar is flush with the housing. The rear remote is now ready to receive the adapter.
