Yes this fuzzy screen or blue screen is the main issue everyone faces , either pull the jack out a little (this works) or cut the jack if it’s not going all the way in or faulty jack means get a new lead

The latency is going to depend on the converter and its drivers. I remember doing this with an HDMI to RCA converter like 10 years ago and it was at least 500ms

I thought these goggle just needed an Apple lighting to hdmi cable and a hdmi to usb c converter to get media from your devices and into the goggles. I have not been able to get a signal but am I supposed to make the av selection in settings or what not?

You can view the live feed on your phone in the DJI Fly app if connected to the goggles via USB, but that's the only way I know.

What is that simulator your using on your Mac?

My pleasure. Might be an issue with one of the connectors. Anyway I would recommend checking out the WTFOS Moonlight option.

It's a shame that you'd have to use so many adaptors (especially since your laptop has usbc out and the goggles usbc as well :) this is almost absurd - but thanks for showing how it could work somehow. It's weird how we are used to such ugly workarounds :) And yes, latency on AV in is said to be a problem... (it's very random - sometimes low sometimes high, I'll have to measure this myself)...

It will work but the quality won't be great so you'll be missing the HD FPV experience.

I'm afraid currently your only option is to use the DJI Smart Controller for that purpose.

Thank you very much for your smart solution! I bought the adapter and all the cables and put them all together like you did. I have also an IMac/Macbook and the Jumper T16! But it doesn´t work like yours. All i see is a blue screen in my goggles, once i select the AV-In in the menu. What could be the difference and went wrong?

My pleasure. Did you try changing between PAL and NTSC modes and also using a different HDMI cable? I also recommend to try all combinations of the RCA cable as yours might be different.

have done this with my Eachine800D and with the dji goggles and i have to say the squishing in the DJI makes it impossible for me to fly, like i can fly just fine on the normal monitor but the picture even in 4/3 native gets squished which makes it super hard to see distances correctly, its still nice to do this to get the feeling for the goggles but it just makes me build a habit that kills my skill

Finally after a week of waiting ive all the equipments and i hooked it to laptop and it works instantly. Of course, after a few flights now i feel so dizzy. Okay, Ive a question: my laptop screen doesnt look nomal when i connect the HMDI. The letters become too small, the colors changed into just purple and yellow. Is there a way to fix this? Thank you.

Sorry for the late response. Instead of mirroring the screens you can extend them.

Use dji fpv goggles on any dji drone Dji fpv goggles V1 or V2 Use Analog goggle receiver + Digiadapter + MIRACAST APP+ Mirror Dongle + Portable Power Supply. Enjoy!!! 👍

Hello, I've connected my DJI v2 goggles to my HDMI2AV converter with RCA cable to 3.5mm headphone jack, but I've noticed that I have to leave the 3.5mm jack only partially plugged in (a little more than halfway) in order for the goggles to provide a standard image. Otherwise, if I plug the 3.5mm jack all the way in, I get a blue screen or a very obscure image with a ton of static/flickering. I've tried numerous RCA cables and configurations but the result is the same. Do you have any recommendations for RCA cables that will work being plugged all the way in? Thanks for the great videos!

Can't you just plug the RCA connectors into the adapter in a different order so the signals on the aux connector match what the goggle expects?

@@Gereon_ I've tried that but it doesn't work. I switched all the aux cables in every different orientation, as well as trying various aux cables that were brand new. The only thing that ended up working slightly reasonably was attaching an angled 3.5mm aux adapter firmly placed onto the headset(and dont move your head too much if you are using the goggles with simulators). I managed to get my skyzone Sk02+ goggles working with the exact same setup far better than the DJI goggles. Its just my opinion, but don't trust DJI because they will do everything to not help you.

Hi John, I got a few emails describing the same issue and the problem was with the cable itself (it has nothing to do with the V2 version). I don't have a link that I can share for an RCA cable, sorry...

I have DJI white goggles and want to go HDMI out of pc into the goggles but they are only out . I tried the sim on the DJI FPV goggles and the picture is not right . Surely there must be some Tweeks somewhere ?

@@sametduman1438 Got this goggle and I know the answer. It uses a micro SD to record. (Not very sure about slots on air unit and FC though yet) So, it is super easy to view it from other devices. GetFPV reps told me DJI must be working on output or stand alone receiver, but this is only a guess.

@@jamesh7395 Did you try maybe connecting some other RCA sources, maybe like old camcorder output or a video player. Some DSLR cameras come with an RCA cable, so need just to convert it to a 3.5 plug? I can see that the signal coming out of the HDMI converter is good on my other monitor, but in Goggles, it is all distorted and "dancing" .. Will try another cable.

Should update description above a bit, the adapter we need is HDMI to AV. I saw the title so I bought one on amazon that said exactly that, but we need HDMI to AV, not the other way around

Hi, it's not possible. You can only use the method that I've demonstrated in this video but the quality is not going to be great.

Most graphics cards had vga output, just use one cable directly from there to goggles! If laptop then not so easy :p

You can connect direct from the goggles with the USB-C to lighting cable and send the signal from the goggles to an iPad

I don't see the options like you have under settings on your v2. Perhaps I have the wrong fireware upgrade. What version are you running

I am not sure if it's possible. Anyway I think that using the DJI goggles will give you a better experience and using the DJI app you will lose the OSD data (I have the Oculus 2 and barely use them).

@@KremerFPV yes I think Oculus is still a toy. But I use it for Microsoft Flight Sim makes it really real. But would also use it for part of the flight with the drone. I was able to get it trough wifi to work but too slow. I don't want to get dji Googles and just be able to use them for the drone. Way to expensive for one task only

Hi I have a question regarding the v1 goggles when I’m trying to record I get an error saying “low power mode unable to record videos” why is that ? I’m using a 4s 850mah battery. Is the battery not strong enough or the sd is not good enough ?

Hi, you are probably using the Vista. You will be able to record the DVR after the drone is armed.

I bought the HDMI To AV Adapter, but my windows 10 laptop does not see it as a display, I've ordeered the USB-C To HDMI Adapter to see if I can get it to work the same way you have :)

This is nothing like what the UI for my V2 goggles running 01.01.00000 (I assume that's recent as it just updated) looks like.. and my settings window does not have anything related to AV, nor does any item under the 4 other menu items listed.. anyone able to clue me in how to use AV In on the current firmware?

You need to switch from the DJI drone mode to FPV mode.

Great video mate. BUT, how the hell does your menu have so much more. I have the same googles, but my settings menu don't have AV-in.. The only different i can see is that i fly the DJI fpv drone. Those it have any effect maybe?

Thanks! Are you in drone or FPV mode? Things might have been changed since I posted the video, but make sure that you are in FPV mode (and not DJI drone mode).

Thanks for the video. I got the Problem that I can see the Image of my computerscreen in the googles gut it's like crappy and flipping around. I've tried to switch between pal and ntsc but none of that worked. could that be due to a broken hdmi cable? Edit: I found out that on of my cables is broken but now there is a big "no signal" kind of screen and there is a text in the top left which says "signal" Greetings from Germany

Yes it will work.

I assure you that it is the fault of the adapter, I have very good equipment with a good gpu card and leftover ram memory, it works well on the screen without the adapter and without glasses. I repeat that it is throwing money unless you do not mind having much latency, for racing simulators it does not work.

Did you figure it out? I guess you have issues with the cables that you’re using. Regardless the HD video is converted to analog so the quality is not amazing.

Bought the same as you but mine doesn't work you can see a screen but flicker so violent that you can't use it

I have managed to get it working for me, It is totally flyable and good enough to learn flying FPV. But I think I can feel some latency comparing it straight with connection to my quad. But as I say it is not big, and works fine :)

none of these parts work for me. All i get is a black and white scrambled screen from my PC in my DJI V2 Goggles. I plug my BDI adpater with rapidfire and the AV works fine. Looks like from other comments, this doesn't work for some reason with DJI V2 goggles

The fatshark attitude v5 also doesn't have HDMI. Can I do this with the attitude v5?

If you have different options than he has, try this. Go into your goggle settings and click on About, scroll down (click up once to jump to the option) and switch the aircraft model to "DJI Digital FPV Systems". Reboot your goggles and now you should have the same screen/options as seen in the video. Remember to switch it back for use with your drone afterwards.

The USB to HDMI adapter was only used on the computer side. Spectator mode has nothing to do with it as the goggles are in AV In mode.

Yes, tested and confirmed. That's the only solution unfortunately.

The video in the goggles looks like a snow storm. I ordered exactly the same things and it's not my pc either because I tried another one. I think the converter is broken but I don't know Does somebody has any idea?

There something wrong with your adapter / the plug is not inserted all the way in / try other RC plugs combinations.

I know this video is close to 3 years old, however I don't have AV in the settings (Goggles V2), what have I missed, any idea?

@@KremerFPV Since then I got all the settings right, however I couldn't get a clear image at all. I joined the FPV out discord server and explained my issue in detail. Someone tried to help but to no avail.

I ordered this immediately after watching your video, but for me it's not working! Any idea what could be wrong? Connected everything like you described... Edit: by coincidence Stu from UAVfutures mentioned the issue in his video on the analog module. GO TO SETTING - DISPLAY - ZOOM 50%, go back to AVIN than zoom back to 100%!!

Try resetting your goggles to factory settings a couple of times.

@@borismartens5209 His issue is related to the HDMI converter and not to the analog mod. Have you tried other HDMI devices?

No, it's not an HDMI output.

Hopefully DJI's next version has an HDMI input. I think I'll wait until then to buy.

@@KremerFPV you have usb-c why would you need hdmi ;-) I guess its a matter of software . If DJI wants it the will make it work

@@KremerFPV we know that iFlight could stream from the usb-c and also the bandwidth of the usb-c is more than enough to make it work ;-)

I haven’t been able to manifest more than a very odd black and white version that’s VERY difficult to see perhaps it is could you recommend any plugs links?

i dont have the av in option on my settings menu i need help

Sorry but I am not sure why it's not available. You should be able to see it in DIY (air unit) mode.

I just had this issue as well and was able to figure it out. The goggles are set to another mode for use with another drone system, which gives a completely different HUD and options. Go into your goggle settings and click on About, scroll down (click up once to jump to the option) and switch the aircraft model to "DJI Digital FPV Systems". Reboot your goggles and now you should have the same screen/options as seen in the video. Remember to switch it back for use with your drone afterwards.
