We get some nice incrementing jokers early and try to see if we can get a victory with them.

I played Balatro, so definitely. But yeah, I had some friends over and it was great. My 3-year old son encouraged me to stand on a chair when people were singing happy birthday, which was actually a lot more fun than I would like to admit :)
