Connect 4 is about more than just getting 4 in a row I learned that when I started playing recently , it’s also about defense and traps . If you focus on getting 4 in a row and you’re playing someone good you will either not get 4 in a row or you will get caught in a trap

Is it impossible to win against a decently skilled opponent if you’re second? Like if they stack middle in the second game, instead of putting on the sides could yellow have won if so? Because AI c4 solvers are always saying that red will win 100%. Sorry for terrible phrasing it’s 1am when I’m writing this

Best Artificial Intelligence solvers always win when play first, but I suspect it's very hard for regular humans to scan all the options and chose the best play on every move. Nevertheless, first player has a huge advantage over second player if first knows how to use it.

So if you go first and you’re a perfect player can you definitely win or can the other perfect force a draw

If perfect yes, however, nobody plays perfect with a time limit in practice and there are weaknesses to certain strategies if one has enough time to figure out counters.

if you want to win the best strategy is to try to get 4 in a Row. you can try to make traps but remember the opponent can make traps too and thats why people lose ! so remember. Dont let the opponent trap you and then you will win EVERY time ! good luck.

@@garydevries5961 good luck moving Forward and just another tip. if you Block all the opponents winning moves then you have a good chance of winning too. (its not fool proof but you will win 90% of the games if you Do that.

Since 2:30 he had the game won, he just wasted time. Solution: play 6th column instead of 5th, computer plays again in 6th to block, and then 6th again. Next yellow play on 7th column, red on 7th to block, yellow on 7th to win

Thanks. It looks interesting. This is the first I've heard of it. After reading some reviews it appears that there are some bugs still being worked on at the moment. Not sure that I can make a good video on multiplayer online strategy as winning may require some coordination with other players. Also other players coordinating with each other could beat a good strategy by an individual player playing by themselves. It also sounds like there are some of the ban issues that people were complaining about revolving around that.
