Is CONN now a defunct brand? No longer making horns? Seems they were only around for a few decades? The 6M Naked Lady being a classic.

According to their Conns website they have been around since 1873 and changed with a bunch of mergers in the 1980s and then with Selmer in 2002 to become Conn-Selmer: www.conn-selmer.com/en-us/our-brands/cg-conn

win 98 that’s not a question ,it’s a comment , and the correct info is on the web everywhere .Conn is a storied American brand ,that was played by many greats ! Stuf of mergers and a Selmer buy out in 2002 ? Conn made the first American saxophone in 1889,by .....you guessed it Ferdinand (Gus) Buescher ! Buescher started his own company in 1904. You see it’s a lot of info . It goes thru many model that are still to this day famous for how they play . Cheapening any great vintage brand with off the cuff ignorant comments is not necessary.

Sorry, if this is too late, but I'd totally recommend Conn's in my opinion. Both are great, but it's also totally up to you. Try them both first, because one person could love selmer, and the other could love p. mauriat. There something out there for everyone!

We'd say it has a very warm or mellow sound - This type of resistance is something a lot of players look for.
