My studying consists of skimming my book before lecture, taking notes on lecture, reading the chapter and focusing on points of emphasis from lecture and then watching a whole lot of simple nursing, thanks Mike!

Not a nursing student, or medical student in general, just a pregnant lady who has a fetal echo in a few days due to my unborn daughter having a suspected valve defect, so Im just trying to learn all I can! Thank you for sharing this!

Oh wow when I was a baby I had a hole in my heart in my heart my mom was crying and some doctors asked if they want me to go to surgery but she said no and then she found medicine to cure my hole in my heart so after I reached the age of 1 the hole was gone I'm so glad❤

Your knowledge is so AWESOME Nurse Mike. Makes everything much easier to understand. Tremendous!! 👏🏼☺️

Hey, just wanted to give you a heads up! The photo shown for TGA (Transposition of the Great Vessels) isn't the correct picture of a TGA heart, but rather a normal heart showing regular blood flow. In a TGA heart, RV flow should go through the aorta and LV flow should go through the pulmonic artery. This happens because the vessels literally switch places "transpose" in this defect.. Hope you can fix the typo!! Thanks haha

I’m confused. One slide had Tricuspid atresia with ASD and VSD which showed right to left blood floow. But the next slide was Left to right blow floow with ASD and VSD?

Hello, please help me clarify. At 29:50, it says to report to HCP if blood drain over 5-10ml/kg, which is 30-60ml for a 6kg child. That means 60ml of blood drainage is normal. So how come if 3 hours passed and we have to call HCP for whatever amount that's higher than 54ml? What if a patient had 60ml of drainage in 1 hour, then stopped. But that would mean that amount is normal in 1 hr and abnormal after 3hrs.

There is a question on uworld about chest tube drainage, we are not given the weight of the client. Uworld just said any drainage above 100ml per hour is bad.
