It's insane that people even expected you to just attack and insult him. That would have achieved NOTHING. You approached this well. And anyone who is mature enough to understand how adults who disagree SHOULD communicate will acknowledge that this was the best way.

@@steviefreakinc You called out his Amazon stuff, you questioned him buying at conventions early and honestly that got a lot more than any insulting him would have got. I think people seem to assume "grilling" someone means insulting them and attacking them till you get an answer you want. But the reality is, if you want any answer at all, you have to turn the anger/hatred all the way down so that you're someone they're even willing to answer.

I get that’s what some people wanted and no, I don’t think that would have been constructive. On the other hand, it would have been good to see some strong, legitimate challenges. If all you ever watched of Steve was this one video, you’d think he was basically okay with resellers… and maybe that’s true but that is not the impression he’s given. The impression he’s given is that there are tiers of douche bag resellers but that resellers, overall, hurt the retro gaming community. That’s what people l like me have taken issue with. That and Caleb is lining the pockets of Bezos and acting like what he’s doing is noble work. The guy was a complete burn out with no prospects in life. So his solution? Get approve to sell on Amazon, have his viewers send him inventory, and he seals it up to send into the warehouse. He’s not even just a middleman anymore. He’s a middle, middle, middleman. It’s like a Ponzi scheme or something.

Exactly. I commented at some point in the video too- generally anyone on KZread is going to be a little or alot different than how they are in a real life situation. Not that its fake or malicious or disingenuous, but most humans when on camera tend to play a role for the viewers whether it's to be pleasant or whatever. Not a bad thing, but Steve and Heckin' Steve aren't totally the same, but they are mostly the same. And I like Steve in this video and Heckin' Steve in the reseller videos! KZread vs a real life situation can be different at times when talking and discussing or show casing events. At the end of the day we are all going to disagree about something in Life. But it doesn't mean we have to be crap about it (mostly haha).

We just dont respect the ones that act like they dont know the value or say i dont know much about these but they have their ebay sold listing comps ready. And then try to act like they are taking a huge risk because some items are untested and may not work.

This would be an amazing series to continue. You mentioning taking care of a disabled family member hits home. I am a full time reseller by circumstance as my wife is disabled. Some of us don’t go into reselling to screw people over but rather to make ends meet.

I think Caleb is always gonna come out on top in a type of discussion like this. He's generally articulate and clear minded. I suppose whats "fair" will always be subjective. I enjoy his content but I have zero ambition to be a reseller. I think everyone can agree that if youre reselling youre in it for the money and possibly to make a living from it. The fact of the matter is that 100's if not 1000's of people do the exact same thing, it just so happens Caleb documents it on KZread. Personally if I watch a video where they source stock for $5 then resell it for $500 I find that very sketchy but its where you draw the line and what you think is 'right' personally..

I was so hyped to see this in my feed, but unfortunately feel very disappointed after viewing. This discussion was an amazing opportunity to ask probing, tough, thoughtful questions directly to PR and also push back on his answers. Not in a hateful way, as this could have been done in a cordial, respectful manner on both sides. Instead, Steve folded like a piece of paper, spoke off the cuff, and appeared enamored with PR, who conversely came across as prepared, thoughtful, and even amicable in this discussion while controlling the narrative. A massive L to the anti-resellers who supported this channel.

I actually listened to the whole conversation (unlike some others who clearly did not in the comments) I think you did a great job in this interview. This is what healthy communication looks like when two people have opposing views. Social media and most people who comment on divisive issues are toxic and love to stay chained to their views and god forbid if they have anything they share a mutal agreement on, its taboo, especially in America. (I am from Illinois) Steve you made Caleb be extremely transparent and pressed him to talk about his mindset and belief system about his business and question his ethics. Caleb made some good points about reselling, I was surprised. The market gets dictated by the consumers, video games are getting more expensive because of demand and frankly due to society becoming dumber. People are placing more value in video games as previous generations did in various collectibles such as masterfully crafted clothing, well made home decor, jewelry, paintings, sculptures, furniture, instruments, etc. The fact that a video game or a Pokemon card can cost as much as set an expertly American made MCM dining furniture set that would last for centuries is pathethic. I love video games, but the importance of them in our society is concerning and frankly sad, its a distraction from the real pressing issues of our world and creating generations of people who comply with the "status quo" ,don't question it, and do not have varied thoughts/belief systems.

Maybe a video covering your entire 360 collection as it's looking impressive. Or more lighthearted and humorous reaction vids like the $800 DK Oldies unboxing. At any rate, I'm here because I find you entertaining regardless of whether you're calling out scummy behavior or not. • @felix-ve8jk

People buy on Amazon because they know theyre getting exactly what they ordered, or it's an easy return and complaint for discount. Amazon replaces/refunds automatically now if you're not satisfied. A lot of ebayers cant fulfill that. Ive posted items on ebay with 10+ pics of every angle and the buyer still isnt satisfied. I cant replace an item if I only have 1 in stock. Ebay is great for getting rid of stuff you dont want anymore but Amazon has completely changed the way people shop and expect to do ecommerce. Like he said not everyone is shopping for the cheapest deal; they want product security

@@scottlinux is there some sort of rule where you have to disclose your amazon store? lmao thats not evidence. Also like i said already, he isnt the one who made the prices high on amazon, amazon has their own market which has high prices due to it not being so easy for people to sell on there, all caleb is doing is selling his items for the going market price thats on amazon sometimes even being the cheapest option, if he wasnt selling on there the prices would still be the same as thats the amazon market lmao whilst dk oldies on the other hand, they made their own website and put their own high inflated prices, completely different. Yes double the ebay prices THATS WHY PEOPLE SELL ON THERE AS FOR CERTAIN ITEMS THEY CAN GET HIGHER PRICES lmao. Also him saying "i wouldnt buy something from me" isnt proof of him admitting to screwing buyers lmao it just means he wouldnt be paying the prices that are on amazon, i wouldnt, would you?

Steve a big point missed with phoenix practices is that he will buy something for $150 and sell for $1000 after he haggled the person down $100. When he tried to corner you about, “it’s ok to 5x and not 10x?” It is ok to 10x if you just flat out bought the item without haggling the person down more money while knowing it’s actual worth. Correct me if I’m wrong, the only preparation you had done for this interview was to write down some questions, right? I ask because the perception that you folded is more because phoenix came in with his agenda while you just had questions. You kept to being yourself which was very appreciated, just wish you understood phoenix agenda with this; especially, since he reached out to you.
