A massive gamble by Acun. I understand where he comes from, where he says he wants an attacking and dominating team, really shows his ambition as a chairman and kudos to him for coming on Sky and explaining it. However, can backfire massively if he brings a manger with just a name and no product. Saw it with Birmingham this year. Best of luck to Hull from a Geordie!
Liam Rosenior took Hull in a very bad position where the team was in danger of being involved in the relegation battle. He saved them and finished comfortably mid table in his first season. In his first full season Hull almost qualified for the playoffs. Their best finish for a very long time. Very harsh and unfair sacking. I know he has been backed with great players but look at the teams above them. They also have a lot of class in their teams. It's not like Hull underachieved.

But don't forget that hull also made 6/7 good transfers that cost alot of money. And these players were the players that the coached wanted.

i mean you say we didnt underachieve but look at the squad he had at his disposal, had multiple players who would easily cut it in the premier league and 2 who would be starting for a lot of prem teams
As a Hull supporter for over 55 years I personally rate this as one of the most senseless decisions we have endured. The chairman talks as though we are Real Madrid and in reality we are a small place at the arse end of nowhere. Do we play boring football? Yes, sometimes but who doesn’t? Should we have won more games? Yes, of course but all the talk at the beginning of the season was about avoiding relegation. Rosenior has got us into a great position to build on and move forward and the chairman has decided to stop it there and start again. Great if it pays off but it’s a big ask of any club. We had one of the brightest young talents in the league as our manager and we are likely to get a failed manager as his replacement. Another chairman with a massive ego and not enough money to back it up is about to send our club into free fall yet again. Pissed off doesn’t sum it up.

Very well put assessment & opinion pal, I think Liam was a good fit for your club & would have bought continued stability the squad & improved you even more next season! Anyway look forward to playing you next season (🦉💙🦉 fan)
Sad. As a Hull fan I thought he was an excellent manager who had us playing very entertaining and effective football.

i think the Hull Owner doesn’t know what he wants. You can’t say good things about Rosenior like “He’s a good person” and “He’s a great manager and successful coach” and then sack him.

You don’t get to become a billionaire by being a nice human being.
The person who made Hull City succesful after a long period of time is Acun , the person who bring Liam to achieve more for Hull is Acun , the person who will promote Hull to PL is going to be Acun. But if Hull fans are happy about being middle class team as an average team then this is not a problem of Acun.
So what's gonna happen is, Acun will bring a famous manager for a big budget than Liam. And then the new guy most likely fail. That's a typical Turkish mentality lads. Even tho we have a word says "do not touch if it works"

dediğin gibi tipik Türk mantalitesi. He wants quick success, and he cannot be pragmatic in his approach. He thinks, since he's pumping in money his opinion must overweigh. Back in the days, Turkish presidents would tell the club managers how to line up the team.

I really hope this wreckless decision comes back to bite him. Ive lost faith and respect in Acun now
Liam will come back to haunt Hull I'm sure.
they all get sacked in the end. thats the crazy world of football.
Typical Turkish chairman , no tolerance for any kind of failure ,no long term planning , no vision that is why Turkish football never going forward because of these typical characters. Liam did a sterling job this season and I would have put my money on He would have taken them into PL next season If he was staying !
Hate to say prime example was Birmingham look where they were under Eustace & then where they’ll be next season!!! The truth is that most club owners are so so detached from the reality of the hard work that goes into coaching/managing a squad of players & getting the best out the them individually week in week out! Unfortunately most owners don’t really appreciate the managers & are to quick to sack & appointment & vide Vera!!! (🦉💙🦉 fan)

Terrible sacking
Success doesn’t come overnight. Acun achieved so much in a very short period of time due to his way of thinking. He started off his career as a reporter and later became a producer and finally he bought a channel and making most popular tv productions all over the world…He likes taking huge risks to achieve success in short time. He wouldn’t become who he is now if he was complacent about his achievements. This dude sees world as playground and enjoys playing and winning every game. He still keeps that hunger for success spirit alive in himself. He appreciates Liam but he also knows they need a different perspective and vision to play for higher ranks. It’s obvious that they can’t change Liam’s way of thinking overnight. So they’re changing the coach to go to premier league way earlier than fans would imagine. I know many of you like stability but ask yourself maybe that might be reason you’re in that small city way too long. If you wanna achieve success in a shorter period of time, then bro you gotta make bold decisions…
Well he is a very honest guy! 😂
Even though it might of not been the best idea for liam to get sacked I respect the fact he’s speaking on sky about it and not scared respect 🫡
He took over 18 months ago near relegation zone . Head up Liam another job soon .
I saw an interview with Acun lately. The only thing i understood why he is in Enland is because he want to show off how rich he is by acting like a "poor guys" mentality. He wants to show off his car, his yacht, his bankaccount without being disturbed by others on the street. That is not doable for him in Turkiye because everyone knows him.
Acun dont like losing, understand that he wants this team to go further.! He has passion in football also and investor.!
That Hull accent is tough to listen to.

Look what happened to Birmingham City...I hope Hull get relegated next season just to teach this owner a big flippin lesson.
Too much of a defensive style of play...Steve Bruce wouldn't have lasted 10 minutes 😂 Fair play for explaining on Sky
Great decision. Hull will move forward next season.

Reflection with bad results in the last 1/4 of the season show’s inconsistencies which proved costly. Stoke Swansea Watford Plymouth all should of produced more points. And all the messing about playing from the back didn’t help.
Every manager gets sacked when Plymouth beat them 😂 ,but he was treated badly imo
Acun yanlış yaptı. adam takımı nereden aldı nereye getirdi o kadar süre içerisinde. 1 sene daha devam etmeli ve seneye duruma göre karar verilmeliydi.
This guy wants a dominating style of play with the players he has...

Half of the starting 11 will leave at the end of the season. So he wants to bring a manager with attacking football and sign players with that style of play for this rebuild of the team. But still, I think this is a poor decision and Hull will struggle next season
Subtitles 😂
I hope the decision to sack Liam, back fires on the owner. Hull had a great season and he didn't deserve to be sacked.

That's a typical Turkish person mentality, they missed play-offs and he has no long term plan, this was an unsuccessful season for him and that's why he sacked him, I still believe he also wants the team to play a different style of football but I think this decision will back fire on him eventually
Rooney's coming.
Birmingham City all over again
Liam, couldn't take an action during the game, because Liam, can't read the game. That's why Hull city lost many points. Time will show us whether sacking Liam is correct or not.
He’s better off out of there, with his record he’ll get another job elsewhere.
Ridiculous decision.
He sacked Liam because he has the turkish way of thinking.Short term plans with the expectation of attaining success.I hope he doesn't regret firing him.

Welcome to turkish football mentality. This man is a turkish billionair and had a lot to do with a lot of dicitions that were made in fenerbahce in the last decades. Its the reason for the chaos in the turkish football world, that people like this are in power in Turkey.

football has lost his marbles, he took them from the relegation zone to inches from the play offs in 18 months. owners interfere way to much now, it never leads to success.
There is a trend of black managers getting very little opportunity to get jobs - and those that finally get the gig have to prove themselves 10x as good as their compatriots! Look at Hull's squad, their budget, their spend, their income etc and they shouldnt even be a top half team.
simple noplayoff no job
Terrible sacking. The owner seems not even capable of explaining himself at a decent level. If you cannot speak fluently hire a translator or GM to take these roles. I guess this also shows his level of ego. Micromanagement...
