Thank you so much for the credit! Confirmation levels were first introduced back in 2019 through Confirmation drill. I am glad people expanding this more and more.😁

Appreciate it sir! You definitely helped the community articulate this concept way more effectively than I saw being done previously.

Somebody needed to finally explain this in a straightforward way. I hear it a lot and have kind of pieced together what it means but nobody had laid it out clearly and explained it in a digestible manner. Thank you so much!!

THANK YOU FOR THIS VERBIAGE! I was just talking to my friend about this, but didn’t have the right words to properly portray and explain this. Thank you!

Confirmation levels has been something I have been looking into. Ben Stoeger/Hwansik Kim turned me onto it.

thank you for articulating the levels! wonderful video. may I clarify if you mean use levels 1, 2, or 3 based on the difficulty of the shot and my individual skill level? i find that at this point, i need to work on my grip and tracking of the dot (which in a target i overshoot) more importantly, that speed monkey i need to get off my shoulders! thank you once again!

Do you find the PDP actually requires slowing down cadence a touch vs other pistols?

As a quick disclaimer I haven't spent a ton of time with guns, fully experimented with all the different springs/guide rods etc. But every time I shoot one my impression is yes, it does take measurably longer to return. For most folks they won't see any issue with that, but if the splits get fast enough I think it is.

Seems like you define confirmation 1 differently than Stoeger? I believe Stoeger defines level 1 as when your arms are indexed without visual confirmation from the sight?

Like I said I know multiple different well known instructors using this terminology but teaching the specifics differently. What this should tell you is to experiment with what makes the most sense to you given your context, skills and equipment. Regardless of the exact definition of confirmation 1 I'm certain Ben and probably @hwansikcjswo would disagree with my inclusion of trigger prep along with the aiming schemes. But I see a big pay-off for me in how easy it is to be accurate at speed with the triggers I'm running, and I generally see this for my students as well, so that's how a articulate it. Using a predictive index to time the first shot on a draw or transition is certainly a technique. I would call that confirmation 0 since you really aren't using any confirmation at all. I don't even mention this here however because I don't see the application in practical shooting. If I can claim world class expertise in anything it's probably super fast predictive shooting on close targets. So am I using a predictive first shot when I'm trying to win the nationals bill drill comp? 100%. But I don't ever do that in a match. You are saving about .15, and pretty strongly risking a charlie outside of 5 yards. The HF has to be over 13 for that math to even break even, and even higher to be worth it.
