I lost everything for covid. I could not afford to pay any of my bills but one thing i noticed, i was not afraid which is strange. I realized that i had the gift of fortitude because of this, because the person i was, to not be able to pay a bill for months, i would not be able to cope with it.I realized this was a test to see if i had confidence in God. I trusted the lord would brig me through it and i am seeing him come though

Sensus Fidelium, thank you for uploading so many absolutely beautiful homilies. I was raised Catholic, but lost my faith and became an atheist for several years. Only recently have I been returning to Catholicism. Your channel's content has played a huge role in helping me understand the teachings of the Catholic Church, and convincing me to come back the the Church founded by God.

I consider it a sign from God that I happened to stumble upon this particular video. I'm right in the middle of what I would consider the dark night of my soul and it has been terrible the last two weeks and I've been absolutely miserable, though I am holding on and understand, moment by moment, that I need to put my faith in God, regardless if it feels mechanical and inauthentic in the beginning, as long as I practice the movement, I will eventually overcome my will and make it His. God bless!

Wow this is amazing. I’ve kind of had an aversion to Fr. Ripperger because he’s always been rather intense for my taste, but a friend sent me these videos and I decided to watch them. For. Ripperger taught me that God may not always be nice to us, but He will always be kind to us. It may not feel that way, but He is there, even if it feels like He doesn’t. Trials are a part of life. Thank you Fr. Ripperger, and God bless you Sensus Fidelium!

Thats funny, it is actually because Fr Ripperger is so direct, intense, and dryly blunt that I find his talks so refreshing. I personally need to hear the truth from someone who does not care about my feelings lol. I have heard from so many priests who will beat around the bush or sacrifice honesty to empathy. At least with him I know I am getting spiritual direction that engages the intellect without catering to my emotions.

Be open to a healing process. Make acts of confidence in God even if we do not feel like it. Say it aloud. ‘God I trust in you.’ Our actions: I will do my part and God will take care of it. God teaches us by upping the ante. God puts us in situations where it appears he is not there. God is testing us. Taking us to higher levels of virtue.

Thank you Father. Your sermons are for me a renewal. They boost my spiritual energy which has a tendency to be lukewarm because of all the fifth in the Catholic Church to which there seem to be endless. We do ask ourselves is God listening to our prayers. In addition who do we trust for confession? I personally do not wish to have a confession with a Priest who is not in conformity with God 's Laws, and the vows he took to serve God. There are still some good Priests around, a handful and they are hard to find. It's just like searching for a needle in a hay stack.

Thank you Father. Listening to you helps me to understand why I cannot have a good relationship with my sister. I’ve prayed for her in hopes that her dark heart allows God in. I must keep praying. Our relationship has always been about her.....when my mother passed she unloaded her house and took it to her home. She’s driven a wedge between us by questioning my integrity, accusing me of crazy things that just aren’t true. All her life, she’s led this paranoia of others intentions. I don’t know how this has happened because she was never close to me. There’s a 10 yr age difference. I’ve spoken to my priest about her. She’s done plenty to hurt me and never seems to remember what she has said but brings up things I did as a teenager,I’m now 61. I don’t know the answer to trying to have a relationship with her. She has everything anyone could ever want materialistically. My priest told me I should get off the merry go round. Part of me wants to try to her direct her life in the right direction, the other side of me says “ why do I want to keep putting my hand in the box only to be bitten”. It bothers me greatly. It’s just her and me left in my family. Any suggestions Father? .

@Claudia Vivarelli Yes, that is the sin of scrupulosity. I suffered that for many horrible years, not understanding that it is really telling God we think He is a liar (!!!); that He won't keep his promises to us! A Huge sin of Pride. Combat that by making MANY acts of confidence and trust in Him, to bend and train your will in subservience to His perfect Will! ❤🙏

Excellent conference! Truly one of the best! On a side note, while listening to the conference, I delightfully discovered closed caption. The written Latin prayer at the end of youtube tickled my funny bone when it reads: Benedicto down in four twenties et filii expedition supervisor to money at semper. (LOL) I would have written it the same way!

How can we have perfect confidence in God without asking questions when we have doubts? That is how we learn and grow.

And if fear is sinful then why are we told to fear God? But at the same time have perfect confidence in Him? It's confusing

We can ask Him questions. That's fine. Talk to Him. He's our God! Asking questions doesn't mean you don't have confidence. A 2 year old has confidence in their parents and still asks "why? What's that? Who's that?" Your second question - fearing the Lord means that you absolutely don't fear the world anymore. He's omnipotent power. He can do everything. If I'm around a super-skilled martial artist, I would fear his abilities, but also have confidence that he will be gentle and not lash out for evil purposes. God is very strong, but also very gentle. We have confidence that everything that happens to us is to help us merit more eternally, practice virtues, learn to forgive, etc

When we have confidence in God there are a couple of components. 1. God is the object of virtue, goodness itself. God a cannot cause anything that is not good. On our side, he always seeks the greatest good for the totality of creation. 3 types of good: existence, physical good, moral good.Moral good; physical health, spiritual and moral, property. Spiritual and moral has primacy. He may sacrifice other moral goods for this one.

People should be cautious of those that focus their energy on creating the outward appearance of perfection. Those that are more concerned with creating the "Sheep's clothing" of perfection for the world to see. I never try to convince anyone that I'm perfect. I'm primarily focused on my daily choices that God is presenting me with, and leastly concerned with what other people think of me. Even though I know it's important to be a good example of a Catholic, and I'm mindful of that, but I'm not concerned at all with presenting an image of perfection for the world to see.

God will allow our relationship with our relatives to be detrimental if it means we will advance spiritually. Lapsing is allowed at times so that people will eventually feel guilt and humility and then get back on track. There is always goodness that can be gained in suffering. Be completely confident in God. Perfect surrendering. Trust. He will always give you what you need, what is best for me. If we do not have perfect confidence in God we are insulting him. Either he does not care or is not capable.
