I used to be the same way when I was 21, now I'm 28 and I lived in Mexico for a year, lived in Russia for a few months (during the war lol) and have been to costa rica, Colombia, Kazakhstan and a few others. Keep your head up and get your bread right, you'll be there soon. Try to focus a lot on language learning too

I first visited Thailand in 1967 but have lived there several times including 11 years as a Teacher at Mahamakut University. I just wanted to mention that your video’s can also be improved by not focusing so much on you. You can still talk and comment on things while you are showing the area you are walking through and it also makes the video more interesting.😊

If you are American and still need to visit your family in America often, MEXICO is a better choice. But if you wanna visit them once a year, Thailand wins over Mexico on food, culture, crime level and transportation to all regions in Asia.

Checking out condo’s: As a foreigner, try to hear it from foreigners with some similar back grounds. They will inform you about the no no’s. Flooding. Energy supply. Water pressure. Extra bills. Can you do your own laundry? Do elevators work? What kind of inhabitants? ( noise, pets, parking) Wifi speed and stability throughout the day. Security and theft. Local small shops for daily stuff. Connection time / transportation

One thing I like to do is rent an airbnb in the building for a week to get a feel of it. If I like the building then I will sign a longer contract

I love that excitement, I backpacked all over Europe In my 20s and felt that same excitement all the time. Im only in my 30s now but have been itching for it again after graduating and working for the last 5 years. I have a decent amount saved up now, maybe it’s time for some more adventures. Soon as I get fully vested I think it’s time for a change.

Fact: Why deal with traffic jams in BKK? Always stay with a 10-15 minute walk near a Skytrain station and there are motorcycle taxis to take on short distances. For long distances to other provinces, take a bus. Thailand has a sophisticated, inexpensive bus network & ( there are inexpensive domestic flights on Air Asia, Scoot, Thai Smile, & others.) The taxis in BKK are very inexpensive but you don’t want to be in one during rush hour.

Traffic jams and also an "interesting" driving style. I've always said I wouldn't want a car in Bangkok unless I could afford a driver to go with it. Not to mention that a car is a money pit, of course.
