    I'm a little surprised that it looks like silver. The aluminum bronze that I made looks more like brass but is much harder and corrosion resistant than brass. Based on the way your ingot cracked, I bet it is hard enough to scratch glass. Keep up the good work!

    Pretty sure the temp at which copper melts is past a point in the aluminum that makes aluminum brittle. It is still a really cool color and structure.
