Thank you so much! Merry Christmas to you too!
So I’m making someone’s wedding cake for the first time, and I’m really excited but just want to make sure it goes well! The cake is going to be on display in a barn in the shade, but it will still technically be outdoors in a location that is typically 90-100 degrees 😅😬So in regards to your condensation tips with using the paper towels to dry it off until it reaches the same temperature, if I continue to wipe it until it reaches that temperature, will it stop sweating once it’s reached that temperature?
Thank you for giving me ALL these tips and giving me confidence to bake away!! ❤️

Oh thank you! I'll have the flower cake on the cake school soon!
Thank you, Emily! I just had an issue with condensation. It was my first cake since moving to Florida. I will definitely wrap it in plastic wrap next time!

Thank you . Can I also keep American buttercream frosted cakes in the refrigerator? Will it help if I keep this in a box?
Really great tips!! Condensation is no fun haha

It's a pain, isn't it?!
Oh a really helpful tutorial. Thank you. A question though, can a dark chocolate drip cake be kept in the 'fridge wrapped in cling film. I'm a little concerned because I have to transport cake a few hours before setting up. What will happen to the drip? Thank you x

Yes, the cake can be refrigerated with a drip. If you follow the steps for chilling the cake before wrapping, the wrap won't damage the drip or the frosting on the cake. Where are you setting up the cake - somewhere air conditioned/cool hopefully?

@@BritishGirlBakes Thank you for coming back to me so quickly. I really appreciate it. I doubt there is air conditioning as it’s in a community hall in England. Maybe the weather will be coolish. X
Thank you, however, is the cling wrap method workable on a fondant cake

Hi! Yes!
Hi, your children are so cute and your videos so helpful!!Is it important that the film is touching the cake, or can it be hovering a bit on top? I saw now, after overnight in the freezer some signs of condensation on the wrap...what do I do now?
@BritishGirlBakes
Жыл бұрын
Is the condensation on the inside of the wrap or the outside? The film doesn't need to touch the cake but it does need to seal the cake so it should be wrapped tightly to prevent any air and moisture getting in. If the condensation is on the inside you'll need to dab the cake with a paper towel when you take it out, to absorb those droplets, and dab periodically until the cake has thawed and the droplets stop forming.

@@BritishGirlBakes thank you so much!! Do you think whipped cream will be ok only as a filling once thawed?
First of all -- cute kids. This is a useful video, though getting a cool room around here in the summer is a tall order.

What about if you are using fresh cream?
Why doesn’t all vegetable shortening buttercream get hard in the freezer?
I'll never forget the first cake that was destroyed by condensation. How humiliating when you're trying to male a name for yourself.
Are your decorations on the spiderman themed cake fondant or buttercream ?

Buttercream :)
I think I experienced this also when I mistakenly put too much liquid food colouring in the butter cream
