Lore: Alternate universe of Sponge out of Water where SpongeBob, Karen, and Plankton get caught by the mob and become prisoners. Plankton sacrifices himself to the mob is brutally tortured for the formuler’s whereabouts and gets killed as a result. SpongeBob escapes with Karen rebuilds her into a gameboy for portability. The two of them roam the outskirts of Bikini Bottom for a fresh start, and they come across a blue haired rapper. Not the best lore but it’s the best I came up with.

I forgot to mention that SpongeBob gets severely burned in the left eye by Patrick when they got kidnapped. Forming a wedge between the two of them.
