Not sure if you will see this comments as last one was four years ago. However, my colours are great when first applied but then become dull, but when it rains the colour jumps out, what am I doing wrong? Many thanks

Do you use a sealant on the leaves if they are to be used outside? They are beautiful!!!

I haven't used sealant on this particular leaf. I prefer not to put sealant on, if they are for inside decor, as I prefer the finish without sealer. It might be a good idea to use sealant if the leaves are going outside, but acrylic paint is pretty hardy.

I see you use acrylic paint vs latex....what brand is best and do you think that application would be ok for outside use? Rains a lot where I am😉

You might want to use a sealer if using acrylic for outside purposes. Acrylic is quite hardy though. This is the brand I use at present which I did a video on: Materials | Acrylic Paint: kzread.info/dash/bejne/nZV-tNeAld3TqM4.html

How long do you wait for the leaf to dry/ cure?Ann

When making the leaf from concrete, I wait for over seven days for the leaf to cure before painting, but it may be wiser to wait a full month for it to be better cured.

Linda Amei sua pintura ficou muito parecido com o real. Se possível me passe o passo a passo das cores das tintas em Português. Tipo o que vem 1º e depois o 2º etc... Obrigado

Ela pode virar uma fonte de água?

Do you mean as in a birdbath, or water feature? If so, then yes, but check to see if your paint is non-toxic. :)

If you paint a leaf, you may want to protect it with a non-toxic sealer. Most likely, a plain concrete leaf with no paint would work best with water, especially if it is flowing water. The sealer and the paint would wear down over time with the water flowing over it and would need maintaining at intervals.
