April you should lite sand the top edge of the concrete so it's not crisp edge make it a rounded edge but looks fantastic and you are the best I love watching your videos.

I can't thank you enough for how informative you make your video's I've been searching forever on this subject for an outdoor seating area around our fire pit, and happened to come across your video. Never have I ever seen such attention to detail. you answered all my questions and even showed the names of the products you used. Keep doing what you do, you help guys like me look better when we do work around the house. And yes my name is really Santa Claus

Thank you so much!! Yes, she certainly is! I'm glad you are enjoying my Channel. :)
That looks AMAZING!!!! I cannot tell you how much I appreciate you and your team taking the time to share the journey with us. I just have one note I would’ve done different on the concrete counters. IF you ever need to replace the sink, it won’t be fun. You used a drop in sink, but it looks like you poured the concrete over the entire lip sandwiching the sink between the concrete counters and the concrete underlayment, basically making it appear as if it is an under mount sink. I would’ve poured the counters first, then dropped in the sink.
On June 16th I'll be working with concrete for 22 years. You all did a great job 👏 👍

Once again, you knocked it out of the park. Well done. It is refreshing to see someone willing to tackle ALL aspects of a build. Although you may not have much experience at that part, you and your team are doing fantastic work. Keep it up.

So impressive. Looks beautiful! Thanks for the tutorial
This video was such a God send to me. I’m a subscriber but I’ve not watched this series. The series will be a huge education. My wife and I just retired and are planning a move to our forever dream home. After a 45 year career in welding fabrication, heavy equipment operating & repair and building construction, my outdoor kitchen & living space as well as huge multi-craft/trade shop are ultra important to me. The inside of the whole house is my wifey’s domain. Your channel is a huge help for me. Thank you April!

Great timing for me stumbling across your terrific and informative video!!! I build custom cabinets but am NOT a concrete countertop pro. I need to put caps on some pergola posts and this video is the perfect instruction manual for how to do it! Thanks and great video, even leaving in dropping your hole bit into your brand new sink.....:)
I'm going to build an outdoor kitchen on the back of my new shop addition and have been pondering the idea of cement counters. Yours turned out looking really good

I must admit it's looking pretty great this outdoor kitchen area is larger than the footprint of my home 🏡. I also find myself listening to make sure that you pronounce the word "HEARTH" Correctly each time you say it , your first video on the outdoor kitchen made me chuckle so much and only because of how you thought the word "HEARTH" Was spoken until your friend Correctly told you!!! As always April 💯%... 👍 🇬🇧.

Love your concrete vibrator idea.
Nice cabinets under the concrete countertops. We are building out-of-pocket and are using tool cabinets for most of our base cabinets as we find it’s much denser storage and deep drawers beat swing-open under cabinet storage for us.
Wow this is the best concrete countertop video I've seen, with so many great tips and even related finds like smartjars 😀 Thank you so much!

Great video! I'm glad I did granite. I started my outdoor kitchen in October of 2022 and finished in June of 2023. Had to work around winter here in Ohio. Such a wonderful challenge and such a rewarding result. Stainless drawers, granite tops and cultured stone infields. I basically started it to give my Big Green Egg , wood and charcoal and BGE accessories a home I cannot overstate how much storage you need for all that stuff and how much planning that takes. One 12' unit for storage, a 6' unit for the BGE and beer refrigerator and pop and a 5 for unit for a wine refrigerator. In the end, my planning tool was what do you need out there so that you don't have to repeatedly go in the house. A rack for utensils, sink (water), dish soap, garbage bin, a bing for fire starter cubes, a long lighter and a hair dryer to fan the fire in the beginning, a rack for wine glasses, in drawer paper towels, pam. Don't forget the music and speakers. Downlights, electrical outlets? Switches to turn the refrigerators off in the winter? The most challenging, but one of the most rewarding projects I have ever done. I think including the granite, the stainless uinits and the refrigerators included I did it all for under $19,000.
