    Im not doing this for attention, (im an introvert)nor am i lying about this, but i have tertrachromatic vision! and im so happy with this artist, since she expressed what we could see. Hope you all have a taste of this condition! Edit: so me a year ago was extremely shady, I understand most of you for not believing me 😂 But, it's not a lie, and you're not inclined to say you believe me because this was simply a comment. Yup. :) I think it would be like a normal vision person painting for those who only see in black and white. Unless we're able to intuit color that we can't actually physically see. Omniscient I am not. But I am a man who naturally sees shades of color and textures that others don't and see lots of beauty where some see drab and bland. Down side is some things presented as balanced look to me like a drunk clown was involved.

    So do you really see color the same way you paint it? How do you know what colors to use in order to project what you see in a way that regular Trichromats see? When you look at your own paintings, how do you see the colors you used in the painting, compared to what you see? For example, when someone points to a car they say is green, do you instead see it as a bright lime green, or closer to a cyan-blue? Do you see Rainbows the same way we do? Do they have the same colors but brighter, or are there even more colors? I've been researching it, and have been wondering if Tetrachormats such as yourself simply have a wider range of the visible light spectrum. Like being able to distinguish different colors from muted hues, or even the slightest change in between the additive/subtraction primaries.

  • @adamryan977

    You can't paint tetrachromatic in a way that trichromatic people could see it. What we see if we look at these pictures is still trichromatic, because this is all we can see. And no she has not a wider range of the visible light spectrum. She can just differentiate better between colors and perceive colors as different which we see as the same (specific between yellow and orange colors). Its like comparing colorblind people to trichromatic people. They still see the same range of visible light but can't differentiate between some colors.

  • @dishant8126

    @@adamryan977 ok but the reason they are called tertrachromats is because they have an extra con (4 in total while we only have 3, at least I think so) so doesn't that mean she has a wider range of the shades and hues of colors that we do see

  • @adamryan977

    @adamryan977

    @@dishant8126 Yes most people have 3 cones ( red, green and blue). Some types of colorblind people have mutations of these cones and therefore can't differentiate between two types of color ( mostly red /green = yellow). Tetrachromats have the 3 "normal cones and one type of mutated colorblind cone (yellow). So this extra cone can't see extra colors outside the visual spectrum everybody can see. But the shades between red/green are perceived different than for trichromats. I wouldn't even go as far as to say they can perceive more shades, but that the shades are perceived different. What for trichromats could be the difference between maroon and crimson could be for tetrachromats like the difference between green and yellow.

    At least 12 out of every hundred women are tetrachromats . There are probably thousands of artists with this gift who haven't bothered to get tested because their art speaks for itself and they don't want or need the attention and they just want to create .Most artists experience colour differently and at a heightened level . Nobody really knows how other people see things . Being a tetrachromat is interesting but it doesn't enhance your artistic skill ; only your visual experience.

    She has brown eyes. The brown color of an iris is pigment, which blocks light. She is not a tetrachromat.

    Light enters our eyes through the pupil, not the iris. The iris simply changes the size of the pupil; its colour has nothing to do with vision. Have you ever met a brown-eyed person before?

    All having Dark-colored eyes does, is make your eyes less susceptible to glare. It doesn't effect the colors you can actually see. Albino eyes might have an impact, but that's partly because their actual pupils are red. I don't even want to imagine how light glares in their eyes.

    This is irrelevant. See studies by Dr. Kimberley Jameson at UCI on my tetrachromatic vision. and btw my eyes are green for accuracy. Not that this is a factor. My luminescence factor is twice regular vision at 14 vs 7. research this. Blessings.
