Fun fact: people having Chromesthesia usually don't see the same things/colors when listening to the same music piece. So I believe it's safe to say there is no point to compare two persons' visual representations of the same piece.

Yeah! I don't know if it's very common, people tells me it's just because it's your memory, but there's many smells that will gives me flashbacks to something very special, for example a very specific of glue brand will remind me of my kindegarten because we used these a lot and it's very closely tied to it, I also have a good sense of smell.

Synesthesia can’t be diagnosed, because it’s not a disorder or disease. It can be tested though, and I agree, I think everyone has a form of it and it can be practiced/enhanced. Some people are just more genetically predisposed to it than others. Like a lot of things, it’s a spectrum and everyone experiences it differently.

I've had chromesthesia ever since I was born, and I just want to clear up the fact that not many chromesthetes (I think that's the word) associate the same colors with the same sounds. In test number two they kinda messed that up a bit. For example, I hear One Dance by Drake (just using a popular song as an example so everyone can understand)in light pink, but another person might hear it in dark blue. But also someone might happen to hear it in the same color as me.

there’s a difference between actually having synesthesia and *trying* to assign something to a word. my friend can smell words and sees colors for words. i ask her what color my name is and she says a muted sky blue. she sees this color when she thinks of my name. i, however, have to THINK and TRY to assign a color to my name. most people in these comments are just experiencing the placebo effect and are thinking hard to try and apply themselves into what real synesthetic people experience.

I was Diagonosed with the Grapheme-Color branch of the 'disorder'... I know it's hard to prove, but I was.

I have the mirror-touch, kind of. I feel pain in that area but I don’t actually feel that specific pain.

When I read about or see someone winking, I wink if I'm not thinking about it.

Its because your brain reminds your body to do it. The same process as yawning, it's a natural thing but if you see someone else yawn you yawn without thinking.

Yea those guys sink up all the time. I guess after 40 years of being almost always together they became kinda like fraternal twins or something. Possibly been that way for a while for them.

I i guess i do have Mirror-touch synesthesia...when i saw the person in the right hit himself for the first time...i felt it...but when he did that again i didnt....similarly when the person in the left hit himself for the first time i had a feel...but when he did that again i alerted myselves i guess...From this i got to know that when i see things right away ....i get the feel and ....when its done again...i get alerted...

I can taste words with certain foods and certain words have a smell. And one food lets me taste certain numbers too. Although, something weird I can do, is that I can actually switch between which number or word I wanna taste and I have a special order for them. It's been a thing my whole life and recently I discovered I'm not the only one.

He only gave him those colors to paint with...

There are multiple forms as I can smell memories and see energy when I focus. But then again I can pick up vibes from other dimensions, lucid dream and Astral project sooo.
