Ever since I saw this back in the day I have followed Dhani's musical career. It's quite amazing really. His work with Jeff lynne, Joe Walsh and his own group of guys too! Not to slag on the other Beatles kids but other than Ringo's kid Zach who plays drums with The Who I think Dhani is the most overall talented of all of them and that's saying something! But then there was George! Listening to his music brought me closer to my favorite Beatles and one of my all-time favorite guitar players, songwriters and musicians. And he just seemed like he was an overall really cool guy with a great sense of humor! Rest in peace George, you did your work, you gave it your all, and you did it so well!!❤🙏🎸 🔊🎶👍💖👏

This concert is one of the most unique & brilliant ever performed. May it endure the test of time into eternity. Two observations: the intermission with the Monty Python bit & the apron wearing bare bottom men was neither funny or appropriate. Why did it take place? Standard, crass fare for an audience of decadent, disunited, useless citizens, unworthy of attendance as nearly none of them realized how much Harrison sacrificed just to try to wake them up during his last years? During "While My Guitar Gently Weeps", subtle, yet significant lyric changes: "At" (as in I look "at" you all) is changed to _"and"_ , save for the very last verse in the refrain. Diverted changed to nobody heard you. "I don't know why you were diverted", instead says _"why nobody heard you"_ . Just some interesting points I thought worth mentioning. Ravi Shankar's amazingly talented daughter Anushka played brilliantly, & her conduction of the Indian orchestra with the few from the (London?) orchestra was perfect. Ravi Shankar's _Arpan_ (an offering) was preceded by a traditional Sanskrit musical invocation (the wikipedia article explains as much). I'd guess not many western ears cared for it, though they performed a profoundly beautiful ceremony held to ensure the presence of one no longer with us. Near the start, Shankar said he was sure Harrison was there with them, and asked "how could he not be?" This was a legendary, magical event, one that shan't be forgotten.

There's no doubt in my mind that this is the best concert ever performed. It's not just wonderful music, magnificently performed, but a glorious spirit of genuine love and friendliness that radiates from the stage. It's nearly a quarter of a century later now and I still can't get enough of this show.

Easily one of the top 5 rock concerts of all time. There are many moments within this concert that are so good, so amazing, that time nearly stands still. You can tell the musicians are pouring their heart into every single song. This wasn't about money, nor politics, nor anything other than simply for George.

Unbelievable that this concert hit over two decades ago and it still feels like last night. So many favorite songs, so beautifully performed. Thank you. ...and there was Ringo, dancing just as he always did (see Hard Day's Night) because he's got the boogie in his butt, and he's making everyone laugh, too, just because his joy is so infectious. I love the guy. Lots of other performers too, but Ringo had that special bond. Paul, too, in a different way..."All Things Must Pass" always makes me cry, but THIS time I burst right into tears!

Eric Clapton did such a great job putting this together. One of the greatest concerts of all time. I don't know how all those musicians could play at the same time and sound so good. Bill Preston singing My Sweet Lord was perfection. Clapton's "My Guitar Gently Weeps" was amazing, and Joe Brown's "I'll See You in My Dreams" with just a ukelele was the perfect way to end it. The video editing and sound quality of this production are off the charts.

20 years ago today. This is an incredible concert and a great tribute to one of the most important people of the 20th century. The whole show is a highlight with a special shootout to Gary Brooker.
