    It is refreshing to see the AeonRV and the amount of care and thought the owners have put into their product. I have been very interested in the Winnebago EKKO since they came out in 2021. However, there seems to be some major quality control issues on the EKKO that vary from year to year making the EKKO much less appealing to me as time goes on. Many of the issues could be solved with proper quality control and systems management. The AeonRV is now at the top of my wish list when I am ready to transition from a class B to a B+ rv. I expect that to happen in the next couple of years as we get things set up at home to go travel for 6-12 months. I like the ease of using a class B but it just does not have quite enough room for a longer period of time or in colder environments. The AeonRV has all of the features that I like. Only thing is that I would prefer is a mounted manual Fiama awning that covered more of the passenger side of the rv. That can be remedied though. Thank you for the update!

    It's great to see this update on the manufacturing progress as I just "reserved" one for myself on your website a few days ago.

    Great job Jim. Much better on that eye contact. Beautiful shop, I absolutely love what you guys are doing over there and where the RV industry is headed thanks to Guys like you raising the bar for the sub par quality coming out over the last decade and will force the competition to step up or step aside. Keep up the great, I wish you the best of luck.

    Wonderful to see the evolution as you expand, your pride and confidence is palpable, Jim, congratulations. For video updates, take a B roll during production hours showing the building, office, machinery, and hands on crafting-narrate that video to give us a "wider" view of operations rather when the camera is in tight following you. All very exciting, thank you for the presentation.

    Do you have any additional structure framing for the box? Hard to imagine the foam panels being strong enough on their own.

  • @aeonrv

    FRPs are very strong. The box is held together at the edges using fiberglass pultrusions that are also incredibly strong. Finally, the cabinetry is designed to give extra support to the box, like a rollbar. Overall the box is much stronger than a typical RV built with an aluminum frame.

    Ah, wood cabinets. A deal breaker. Why not HDPE?? It doesn't swell, squeak or fail.

  • @aeonrv

    @aeonrv

    Ай бұрын

    We us a special lightweight high quality thermally fused laminate plywood that will not swell, squeak or fail in our use case. Our cabinets are very unique, lightweight and installed with polyurethane adhesives. You should check them out in person. We prefer not to build our cabinets out of plastic and HDPE is quite heavy, does not hold screws well, and in our opinion is not a good choice for off-road cabinetry.

    Can’t stand a class B plus with non-Dooley wheels. It looks so weak. By the way, maybe it’s a good idea to do a tour when people are actually working so we can see what’s going on.

    Do u mean when it's busy with a lot of noise? lol DUALLY wheels don't make it look hard. It makes it look heavy. haha ;)

    @@JoshuaMartian-go3tm I’ve never said dually wheels make it look “HARD”, stability is very important and that specific wheel set up, will help with cross-winds + importantly, towing capacity. Especially if somebody has to take out a mortgage to buy one of those units.

  • @aeonrv

    @aeonrv

    Ай бұрын

    We prioritize off-road and dualies are not quite as good. GVWR is up to 9,950lbs and OCCC is 1,000-1,500lbs. Towing up to 4,500lbs, which does not really change much with a dually because the weight is higher. With the suspension modifications we make it drives great on and off road. thanks for your feedback.
