A clear example of what happens when mls teams travel to Mexico.🤦🏻‍♂️ the leagues cup would’ve never turned out the way it did if the mls teams had to actually play away games and some Mexican teams still did really well just playing on American soil

To be fair. Mls is getting batter but if they want to be more better they should play leagues cup in mexico too. And also join copa libertadores

Gotta admit the home fans intensity and energy didn’t help Philadelphia either. It’s what I love about Liga MX as well the fans are always an electric vibe.

It's one of the reasons I hate all the Concacaf tournaments and miss playing in Libertadores. We never won, but it always felt like the level of play from Liga MX teams were higher because they had to elevate their game to compete against the South American teams.

@@OpenScienceTeam Yeah I'm just purely talking about completely "winning" the entirety of Libertadores specifically, since many times MLS fans like to point out how we never win the tournament when Liga MX fans say they want to go back to it. The fact of the matter is that even though we've never been able to win the whole thing, Liga MX elevate their game/quality during the tournament and always competed well, with Cruz Azul, Tigres, America, and Chivas making it to multiple semi-finals and finals.

@@shmooveyea well Nashville almost left the first leg with a lead. I missed most of it and when I finally turned on to the match Miami tied it. And than I hear from the announcers Nashville had a 3rd goal disallowed for offsides. Never looked to see how much offsides to see if it was the refs saving Miami from going to the second leg down 3-1 (just like how the refs saved Miami against LA Galaxy by sending off a player with a second yellow that led to a red and than later MLS rescinded that card)

I been a Pachuca fan for the longest time and the only reason is because the level they play at they are the only team in north America that can handle top level European teams they just don’t get the credit because they’re not as popular as the big teams in Mexico even though this team is top quality

The fact I have been seeing philly in the mls is very Strong team or good team and get six goals is crazy 🤣

But the gap is getting closer they said. I do really wish Mexican clubs would go back to the Libertadores.. It was scary and exciting times watching these teams play in Chile, Uruguay, Argentina and Brazil.. Ecuador and Peru too, those teams would always find a way to put up a fight.

I'm not familiar with the roster and all that but it seems surprising they went from being the top seeded Liga MX team because of their results 2 years ago and then were one of the worst last year to now 3rd in Liga MX standings and destroying what is supposed to a perennial top Eastern Conference Philadelphia Union squad.

I'll explain. Pachuca was champion two years ago or something like that, but right after becoming champions they sold their entire team. This is because Pachuca Project is not about championships, its more about training players, creating stability in the team and in this way being able to sell players. Championships or being TOP 1, 2 or 3 are something like the team's second interest, the main thing is the training and sale of players. That's why these two years they were in last positions and right now they are one of the best teams, but soon they will sell the entire squad and start again and again and again...

It feels kind of bad for the fans but I guess if you are competitive about half the time and break through to win every so often, that's not too shabby. This reminds me of my favorite baseball team, the Oakland A's when I used to watch the sport, they would develop a bunch of players over the past 2 decades to near MVP level and then just not pay them and lose them to free agency(Donaldson, Gray, Doolittle, Semien, Chapman to name a few). The difference is Pachuca actually gets money in return

Whats funny that concacaf is played in Mexico and USA.= FAIR. and leagues cup is played only in USA . Not just USA but there own stadium. Big difference. And mls teams pretty much didnt dominate or beat them easy. They 90% won by Pks. Thats more funny. And also liga mx teams didnt all want to go play that so alot of teams included pachuca used reserves.. alot of teams didnt want to join that tournament but they had to. Just for that fact that its only played in USA. Leagues cup should play in mexico too. Forsure most mls teams wont go far.

I think the concacaf is the more important one that both teams want to win. Mls just still struggles to play in mexico. But mls will grow still. Liga mx plans to grow more they are starting to bring Europe players. MLS does that already so both leagues will grow
