Maybe just look at the name of the game. He has children, he had already a long time ago played mobile games where one has to build things, he probably gets recommended - or simply shown - some things on occasion, but he doesn't play various stuff and nothing with commitment. It's sort of like when a grandma namedrops a peaceful game she was introduced to. (Aaron has also confirmed that he is still utterly useless at any game he plays.)

I like playthroughs of the last of us because I like to see how ppl grow with the characters, their opinions and observations throughout the game and reactions to and in certain moments. Also whether their feelings change and how they feel towards the end as opposed to the beginning of it.

Cone-bone has a surprisingly good point about zombies and cold climates. Never thought of that.

The last of us 2 touches up on it literally the first act. Which Conan is right, there were indeed a bunch of zombies who froze to death, also they moved significantly slower. Though undead being undead, some of the frozen zombies thaw out and are still undead lol one grabs you when you play as Abby for the first time. He’s right though I’d go to Alaska for sure.

In such a world survival in cold climates might be hard though. Food and resources are probably very scarce

Conan having a conversation with Ashley Johnson and Troy Baker would be amazing, and also he should definetely upload videos of himself playing The Last of Us

"Is it always post-apocalyptic?" YES. Yes it is Conan. I like how he barely knows the first thing about video games but can still accurately identify the tedious trends that the whole industry succumbs to lol.

I’ve been watching Conan since I was a kid in the 90s and I love his show to this day. Loved that they are talking about my favorite game of all time!

I love how the Dad-ness of Conan extends to his camera shaking because he's probably leaned on his desk with his elbows.

No, never played a game with a focus on them, never care to, they all look pretty bad and uninteresting (something like this comes closest to not being so bad, but it's after all not normal zombies either - still boring, uninteresting precisely for that association). Don't care for any movies or shows, and they are easy to dimiss. Almost anything else is automatically better, I can't imagine anything more lame than anything with a focus on zombies. (Shaun of the Dread is pretty good, but there is another "comedy" from Korea, which was compared to it, but it's a more serious focus on zombies, and it's actually infinitely lame and uninteresting, due to this aspect but also in anything else, because the "taste" for something so bad and uninteresting affects all the other things.) The Silent Hill games are automatically limitlessly better than the Resident Evil series, until eternity, because they don't care about zombies, but creative monsters and horror, with some things occasionally being a bit like zombies by mobility etc., but not nature or the fuss made about them. It's like when 10% with bad, boring taste make a lot of noise or come all together and then pretend it's all about them, when it's actually not, it's lowest tier, and not that much (even if 10% like it, it's not that much stuff either, to be clear).

There was a time that I thought that people were still making zombie movies because the production started when they were still popular. Now, ten years later I'm out of answers.

I actually laughed so hard at Conan's walking dead reference. It's so true. They spend the whole show in one state covered in forests and small towns. It is soooooo crazy boring lol

His zombie Elmo impersonation sounds more like zombie Yoda.

As someone who literally worked on a game aimed at diabetic children to encourage them to test their blood sugar regularly, I love Conan's ideas! Our game even had an attachment that allowed players to test their actual, IRL blood sugar and it would benefit them in the game. Though, at one point, the lead designer actually designed a system in which the user would gain more experience and gold if they were able to finish battles with low blood sugar. I literally had to explain how it's going to be problematic to actively reward children for playing our game while having low blood sugar... and you'd think they'd immediately realize how horrifically dangerous that system was - but there was actually some pushback against me for calling it out. Fun times. So glad I'm no longer in that industry. EDIT: Our game was basically a JRPG with a device that plugged into the system that tested your blood sure and gave you buffs for maintaining a good level (at least, that's what it ultimately became). I think the game was only ever released in Australia, IIRC - as it was the only place where they could find enough doctors to endorse it.

I’m honestly surprised Aaron didn’t make Conan play Mass Effect: Legendary Edition! It’s not set in a post-apocalypse (well, mostly), and there are a lot of opportunities to perv out with Liara and Miranda and Tali!

That 'zombie on the moving walkway' solution really made me laugh. Although eventually they'd lose their legs and get caught in the bit at the start of the walkway, and end up gumming up the machine until there was a big pile of zombie torsos, like terminal moraine on a glacier.

that is completely doomed to fail. airport. using the conveyor belt roads...... those take power. where we get power? power plants. what happens to the power plants? get abandoned, because zombies duh. you gonna keep a zombie walking on those roads for like a month, and then a power plant is gonna need to shut down for maintenance or it burns out or something. the world will be without power after 1 month. people thinking they got all they need if they have a bunker, a laptop, and internet are gonna have a nasty wake up call when they have no power to use those devices. if a zombie thing appears and takes over the country, you better hope you guys got solar and wind energy figured out, with personal portable generator units you can carry, because you gonna go without power and internet pretty fast. your cars are gonna be useless without the supply of oil coming, every tech you own that cannot be maintained or function without the modern infrastructure of modern cities and online networks is simply a liability.

As Conan said, it would have a large flat area around it that you could see for miles so you wouldn't have any surprise zombie attacks. You'd see them coming a mile away which is way better than cities and forests since they have lots of hiding spots.

I feel like all the cuts between people is too much. I'd like to see everyone on screen together, then make the person talking biggest. Then you wouldn't have to switch cameras as often and it would look more organic and less edited.

Nanashi Part 2 is pretty mindless... & part 1 is great because it’s a classic story about fatherhood... some people are over it. I personally loved the characters & mood/atmosphere set. But I mean you already knew what was gonna happen -.- just like watching the walking dead.

They dropped the ball when they started bringing celebrities on it and sidelining Aaron. It should have been the Conan and Aaron segment- they had great rapport and the humor felt authentic.

@@SARYM911 Agreed. Celebrity appearances turned me right off. It's so cheap. The only good celebrity appearance was Bill Hader, who definitely earned his keep. Apart from him, Aaron is the only one who deserves his spot in that segment.

You know what would make a good Zombie game... An alive and relatively healthy Sona, has to survive the Zombie Apocalypse... and the head Zombie, AKA the zombie who leads all of the other zombies... is Conan O'Brien. It'd be like a normal survival game with tweaks. When the game starts, she starts off with her '07 Volkswagen Jetta (it's out of gas, 1st mission is to find gas). Instead of a canteen or jug, she collects all liquids she finds in the game with her Gigalo mug. She can also trick zombies into not attacking her by telling them that she is picking up lunch for the head zombie, Conan O'Brien (complete with cool-down meter that can be upgraded). The main goal of the game is to survive, obviously,... with a secondary goal of collecting all of the Friends DVD box sets scattered throughout the city. This started as a joke, but now I need to play this. I'm thinking of it being like State of Decay-esque, as that's the game I had in mind when spit-balling these amazing ideas... but I'm open to input from the peanut gallery, I suppose.

Conan's right, the game is a tired premise, but it's so well done. i knew it would be ok, because of the studio that made it, but it surprised me, it was one of my favorite games.
